Delightful Shepherd hut

The bed was comfortable

The cabin did not match the pictures, and important details like the toilets being outside were not made clear. The advert was also misleading about the pool, sauna, and massage, as these all required extra payment. There was confusion over payments, including £130 being taken without clear explanation, and the massage cancellation policy was never clearly stated beforehand. Overall, I’m very disappointed with the experience.

Location is everything and the location was superb. The Hut is basic, but was described as such. This is probably more a destination than a stop on the way somewhere else, and it would be good to want to use the facilities on offer to get the maximum from your stay. Good for the soul.

The sleeping arrangements are quite limited and you will need to climb a narrow 6 rung ladder to reach the platform. If your mobility is limited this may not be for you. Worth enquiring about this before confirming your booking.

Super cute and cosy, we were lucky to find this at short notice to attend goodwood festival and the location was perfect. The weather was glorious so using the outside toilet and shower wasn’t an issue, so brilliantly made! We enjoyed bbq dinners at the night, being so tired after all the walking it was just perfect for us.

Never stayed in a place like this so brought a few too many items for the fridge which is a small cooler and with the heat it struggled to get cold. We arrived with a cooler box so nothing was spoilt but worth noting for future stays

Very quiet and rural. Outside wood fire for barbecue. Quaint hut. Very helpful staff. Walking distance to South Downs Way on tracks via Seaforth College but need to check route.

Hard to find. Facilities quite basic. Hot water not working. No pubs doing food nearby on a Monday, no shop on site but excellent village shop about a mile away.

Cozy little hut but felt very spacious. Good quality bed with bedding to make it comfortable, sitting and storage space, small kitchen area with stove, pots & pans and utensils, outside sitting area. Everything that you need to make it a comfortable getaway.

The outside shower was not working because of some water leak. Also, washing utensils was not very easy. If the water leak gets fixed, that area has a sink to wash utensils too. Would have made things easy.

Location was lovely, having chickens rustling around outside and the horses in the field behind the hut. The hut was super cosy and lovely with the log burner lit and the fairy lights on. Added bonus of the fire pit outside. Facilities in the hut were good.

The blind cord was hanging free with the safety hook attached rather than secured which is obviously a risk when you have little ones in the hut. Some of the sides on the upper bed were loose. Lots of old cobwebs. One of the hobs wasn't working.

Lovely setting, cosy accommodation.

Not disliked anything, but the door latch didn't work so had to lock the door every time one of us went out rather than just closing it too.

We loved the Shepherd's Hut! An amazing Christmas getaway. Extremely comfy and cosy with the log burner. It had everything we could ask for. The surroundings are beautiful, with horses just outside the window and chickens greeting us each morning by the door. We will definitely be back.
