Bourou Noguchi Hakodate

Kitchen Staff tried to accommodate allergy. Rest of the staff are generally incapable and lack basic skills.

Property is old and facilities are clean but old.

部屋においてあるコーヒーメーカーが使えなかった。洋室のクーラーの温度設定が変更してるにもかかわらずずっと暑かった。

大浴場、展望ラウンジ含め設備は文句なしだった。 部屋も広く快適に過ごせた。 朝食は日替わりで、和食と洋食のコース料理を個室でいただける。どれも美味しかったが、個人的にシェフ特製のラー油鮭にハマった。ぜひ製品化してほしい。 接客はどの場面でも大変良かった。 函館に行くときはまた是非利用したい。 良い旅をありがとうございました。

特にないが、あえて挙げるなら、湯の川地区なので函館観光地からはやや遠いくらい。

We had a wonderful 4-day stay at Bourou Noguchi in Hakodate for my partner’s birthday. We really wanted to be able to relax and take time off. The staff ware outstanding and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay at every point in time. The room is very large, and beautiful, with a great view from the 12th floor. The in-room Onsen is also very large, and it was our favourite part of the room. The temperature could be controlled easily with the flow of hot and cold water. The public bath, bedrock bath, SPA facilities (my partner had a massage) and top-floor bar were all top-tier and were thoroughly enjoyed by us. We found the food experience outstanding. Not only was the food tasty, creatively prepared and presented, but it was extremely varied across the 4 dinners and 4 breakfasts we were served during our stay. It never felt that the menu was being repeated for even two days in a row. We really appreciated it and it made our experience more enjoyable. All ingredients were fresh and local, with notes where this or that ingredient were sourced. Everyone’s favourite “Uni” (sea urchin) also made an appearance a few time as sashimi and with rice. The chef even prepared a small birthday cake on the dinner of my partner’s birthday, and it was a very appreciated touch. I could go on, but in the end this was a magical experience that we will remember fondly. I would certainly be back if I was ever in Hakodate and I would certainly recommend it.

A couple of very minor things that didn’t affect our score but that are worth mentioning: I found the WiFi to be subpar compared to many other stays. This didn’t bother me too much as the goal was to relax and unwind, but I ended up using a lot of my mobile data because of the lack of reliable WiFi in my room at times. Each room has their own WiFi access, but our room (1212) was given access to the WiFi named “1112”, as there was no “1212” access point, so perhaps this problem only affects some rooms. There was a choice of two pillows for the bed and I didn’t find either of them particularly comfortable. One was particularly hard and the other just wasn’t comfortable enough. Again, not a big deal for me and I did sleep, but not the most comfortable sleeping experience ever.

出迎え、対応、チェックイン、などの対応はとても良かったです。

部屋のトイレの換気と芳香剤などがイマイチでした。 温泉も部屋にあったけど 窓が景色などみる感じにはなってなくて 窓が汚かった。 部屋に温泉があるからなのか 部屋が温泉の匂いなのか、居心地が良い空間ではなかった。
