We had a wonderful stay at this quiet, cute, and cosy cottage. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The owner was lovely and stayed in constant contact, making sure we had a great experience.

Ros was so welcoming and always available if we needed anything, a lovely lady. Our appartment was ideally located, very quiet and peaceful but just a short walk from the seafront, restaurants, cafes etc, the appartment had everything we needed, loved the super quick boiling kettle. Our room was lovely, the beds were so comfortable, we all slept like babies and didn't want to get up! I loved the big sash windows, lovely to get a breeze through during the hot weather and loved sitting having my morning coffee on the window seat in the big bay window looking out towards the sea. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again when returning to the island.

Excellent location close to the station and beach, very handy if you don't bring a car with you. The house is lovely and recently renovated, our room was large with lovely high ceiling and several opening windows so on the hottest day this year it was comfortable to sleep. The room came with two double beds and a small kitchenette and table/chairs, sofa. Again really handy if you forget to book a restaurant and have a takeaway instead. Great for breakfast prep too. We really like the House, the beds were super comfy and the welcome was warm and hospitable. We would recommend the owner was super helpful and had lots of local information. Do book or go out to eat early if you want to dine locally, things get super busy on school holidays or bank holiday weekends. Really useful you can walk to Lidl, co-op and a few takeaways, so even without a car your not stuck. Bit hilly locally, but go up to the Hideaway and take in the view with a drink or snack.

Couldn’t fault this place. Booked last minute and hit upon this wonderful accommodation. The room (the Leopold) was exceptional with very comfortable bed and lovely squishy pillows. It was a very good size and everything was scrupulously clean. The owner had thought of everything with lots of little luxuries - there was even an electric toothbrush charging point. The house itself is a beautiful Victorian building - it is peaceful and calm and beautifully decorated. I could not believe there were so many people in the house - check in by 8.00 ensures a peaceful evening and night. The location was perfect too - short walk to the beach with its excellent eatery and there was a little cafe even closer where I was able to have a meal and drinks. I left my car on the mainland and there was no need to have it with me. The public transport was more than enough for my needs with a train from the ferry terminal in Ryde and buses to local towns. The proprietor, Rosamund was very helpful and gave suggestions for eating places and places to visit. She made time to always ask if I needed anything more and was lovely to chat to. I can’t recommend this place highly enough- leave your car on the mainland and escape to a peaceful and quiet slice of luxury.

This is a return visit to Clarence House and we are always happy to head to the island to find a calm oasis in this prime location. The accommodation has had a lovely fresh make over and some new staff to welcome weary visitors and ensure we had all we need. The facilities are just what you need in a home away from home set up plus the short walk to the beach really makes this an ideal holiday destination! We’ll be back in the summer for sure.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an amazing experience at this accommodation. The place was super clean, incredibly comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping everything in perfect shape. The staff were outstanding – very efficient, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. We ran into a few issues when we needed to extend our stay, and they handled everything so smoothly. A special thank you to Ros and the team for doing their absolute best to make sure our group had somewhere to stay, even during the busiest time of the year. Their support made a huge difference and truly reflects the high standard of service here.

The place was absolutely disgusting, stank of cigarettes and body odour. Proprietor laughed when we called to complain and said the property gets cleaned once a month which was way too often.
