Norburton Hall Cottages

Due to a small problem with the one bedroom cottage we booked we were upgraded by the owner to a larger 2 bedroom at no extra cost which was a nice gesture. This cottage was superb in every way. Lovely grounds of the main house. The village has two great pubs both serving excellent food/drinks.

Loved the fairy lights - really nice touch.

Based on the wet weather we experienced, there was no where to dry out coats, boots etc. without cluttering the lounge. The small outdoor space was not sheltered enough to leave items outside. There were no hooks to hang items, so at times it felt cluttered.

Lovely cottage, lots of space, and well equipped kitchen. Also really enjoyed the garden, safe for both dog and toddler.

Property was excellent. Great location and set within beautiful grounds of the main Hall. All joining instructions provided in good time by the owners. Plenty of walks nearby and two excellent pubs in the village which serve nice food. Cottage also located close to beaches. Town of Bridport not too far away either for supplies or eating out. Would recommend!

Good location. Comfortable cottage

Confusion over which cottage we were to stay in. Had to move after 2 nights to the other cottage. The tea coffee cleaning products were not replenished.

Nothing we didn’t like but suggest the mirror in the twin bedroom is moved where it can be used.

Shippen was well equiped with every thing we needed. we were impressed. The location is good for much of ther Dorset beauty, you need a car though. The accomodation is with in secure wonderful grounds, it's peaceful and plenty of room to exercise a dog off the lead, must get on with other dogs though. There's a pebble court yard between Shippen and the Hayloft that is shared as an outside room. Communication with the owners is mainly through email during your stay. They were welcoming and friendly. The four poster bed was amazingly comfortable. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

The door to the bathroom needs plaining to save the floor beneath. The drain to the bathroom sink was somewhat blocked at times.

Location,accommodation we're excellent hosts were very accomadating

Only downside for us was the bed,very hard but that doesn't take away the excellent cottage and it's facilities, lol and the wood pigeons at 4am 🤣🤣🤣

Quiet location not far from village.

When leaving the property and returning we had to stop to open and close 2 heavy gates.
