Lovely clean, comfortable room

The housekeeper was lovely. We weren’t greeted on arrival but that seems to be the way places are run now. Nice room. Good continental breakfast.

Not the fault of the owner, but we were unfortunate to have an inconsiderate couple next door who made a lot of noise when they arrived late and then insisted on getting the housekeeper to change their mattress, which wasn’t done quietly! Not the best night sleep for us. Though everything else was good and profound apologies were made in the morning by the housekeeper.

We hadden de kamer met het "hemelbed". De kamer ligt aan de voorzijde maar je hebt geen geluidsoverlast. Zeer ruime kamer, 2 lekkere fauteuils. TV hangt op een hele ongelukkige plek boven de haard zodat je nooit goed zicht hebt. Maar daar kwamen we toch niet voor. Prima ontbijt, we misten wel eieren en hartig beleg. Gezellige ruimte. We hebben de aanbeveling uit een van de andere reviews gevolgd en uitstekend gegeten bij Platform 1864. 10 min lopen, bij het station.

We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints

Hair dryer did not work

The guest house was conveniently located in Tain and was very clean and tidy and our room spacious with a comfortable large bed, shower, etc. and offroad parking. The continental breakfast had a few options with fresh berries, granola and yoghurt being our favourite. Also croissant, toast, tea and coffee etc. A very pleasant stay.

A cooked brekfast option would have been good, however, we were aware that this option was not available at the time of booking

Huge rooms, and very comfortable. More than adequate breakfast, a great choice of food and drinks. Close to great places to eat evening meals.

One very small thing. As I need glasses to read, I could not see the instructions on the shower in the morning so it was a bit of a task to get the flow and heat I wanted, but I got there in the end. Yes I could have read the instruction before getting in the shower so partly my fault. Perhaps find a way to have instructions in large letters inside the shower for future guests.

Location, rooms were great, bed comfy, breakfast marvelous etc...
