Maavaharu Guest House Himmafushi

The homestay/hotel is very cute! It is a four unit place that has fantastic, reliable wifi, extremely clean, provides high quality snorkeling gear, very nice staff and complimentary breakfast. It is located in a convenient location on the island (admittedly it is a small island so everything is fairly convenient). I didn't carry my phone to the beach, so the walk to it was quite easy. It is just a couple minutes walk away from the ferry and maybe five minutes walking to the bikini beach. There is a convenience store just a half block away. There are at least two ferry services that go to Himmafushi from the airport, so getting there is easy. It costs $25 USD each way to go to and from the airport. If you are really looking to save money, you can take the $10 ferry to Male and then hop on a local ferry to the airport from Male (it picks up a half block down the road) for a $1.

There were a ton of flies and mosquitos in the breakfast area (it rained a bit during my stay) so have some repellant available and/or eat quickly. Most importantly, they did not make their way into my room, so I had a great stay.

Schöne ruhige Unterkunft, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Es war sauber und Habeeb war zu jeder Zeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

It felt like being home. The staff was very friendly and helped in any possible way. Breakfast was good. The room had a big size and everything you need: kettle, storage place, AC, fan, big umbrella,... we got fins for snorkelling for free. It's licated 5 min walking from the jetty close to supermarket and restaurants.

No hot hot water unfortunately

The accommodation was clean and really spacious. We were given breakfast in the morning to get us started on our day. The guy at the place was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early for an emergency, which meant catching the next boat out. We would highly recommend this place for the person running it and the cleanliness of the room.
