The staff were really lovely. The location is stunning too. If you like being away from tourist areas, this is great. The view from the beach/sea is really special and you feel as though you are truly with nature. The sea water is so clear and having free kayaks, snorkelling gear etc is an absolute bonus. There are also plenty of board games free to use and this hotel catered so well for children. The room was also very spacious and nicely designed. The food is also fantastic. All freshly cooked - including freshly baked sourdough each morning.

I wish I had booked a sea view property and spent the money on this. Our room was lovely but I was envious of those beach front rooms as they face directly towards the sea. They also have their own sun loungers that is an added bonus. For those guests booked into garden view properties the only seating seemed to be on wooden benches/chairs other than the loungers by the pool.

Peppercorn Beach Hotel is located quite a distance away from the touristic hubs of Phu Quoc, next to a fishermen´s village. When exploring the area around it you get an impression of the real life conditions of living on this island. We stayed there during the windy season in November when it was tough to get into the sea due to strong waves. The off-season atmosphere when the hotel also wasn´t overcrowded made it all the more relaxing for us. The hotel´s staff is very attentive and kind, giving you the feel of a family pension and providing more personal insights. Food at the restaurant, which has an open kitchen, was truly excellent and couldn´t have been fresher or more tasty – fantastic! When for personal reasons we had to cut our stay one day short, the manager didn´t charge us for the last night. A truly generous gesture.

Location is quiet but still quite far off the main area of the island. Some garden areas of the property could be updated or maintained better.

This is an incredible hotel with a fantastic setting. We booked a family room which was spacious and extremely clean - although it was a garden room, you could see the ocean from the front terrace which was lovely. The staff were just amazing - they were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. We were the only guests there at the time with it being low season, but the staff were always on hand. They couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is immaculate and extremely well- maintained. It is a beachfront property and as other reviews have pointed out, there is a stone embankment dividing the sand from the sea but this didn’t bother us at all. The hotel has kayaks and snorkel equipment to use free of charge. They also have a wide range of board games which coke in handy when it rained. We ate at the hotel as there’s not much nearby. The food was fantastic and breakfast was incredible! Everything is made to order and very fresh. The whole stay was idyllic - if a peaceful, tranquil hotel which looks out to the sea is the type of stay you are looking for, we’d wholeheartedly recommend Peppercorn.
