The Rainforest Hideaway

Close to the river and waterfall - so you can definitely hear the water roaring. The staff was excellent providing help before and after my booking, cannot thank them enough for the support during and after my stay. Make sure to get a rainforest tour while there. I went with a guide Siril and he was amazing and very knowledgeable

I am quite sensetive to smells and could really feel the sheets were not super fresh.

Leuke overnachting helemaal afgelegen in de natuur. Je kan lekker verkoeling zoeken in het riviertje wat stroomt. Fijne, ruime kamer. Eten is prima! Vooral een hele goede tour gedaan vanuit het hotel met een superleuke guide!

Very picturesque area and well organised in terms of wifi pass and menu available in the rooms, even umbrellas for when it's pissing down which does happen in a rainforest unsurprisingly. Good place to disconnect for a day. The manager was kind and spoke very good English.

The food was all right but a bit disappointing compared to most other places we had eaten at during our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. I found it a bit bland and pricey in comparison. It's also a quite a bit of a walk from the park entrance. You have good and cheaper options much closer, if you're after an early start. And the sounds and movements on the bungalow roof at night can be unnerving, but i guess that's what you sign up for in an accommodation of this type.

Sahara and his family have worked hard to create this amazingly incredible hideaway and they are real professionals in the art of hospitality!

Nothing (well, except for maybe low water pressure, but if you wait long enough you get hot water, so can’t complain)…

We spent three days here, we were incredibly well looked after. Our cabin overlooking the waterfall and 20 metres to the natural pool was the icing on the cake. We also booked two rainforest hikes, one night and one day, which were magical. Highley recommended 👍🏼
