Hotel Firststay Hongdae

Great location, very central and well communicated with the rest of the city but not directly on a busy road so you're shielded by noise. Jin and the staff in general are very nice and nice amenities.

🏨 Hotel - Loved the hotel. There is a small drawer area near the lobby elevator where you may get your amenities such as toothbrushes, hair ties, toothpaste and slippers. No sewing kit or scissors though. There are also coffee and tea sachets available near the lobby alongside the water dispenser machine where you can refill your bottle. The door is also now automated. You just need to press a button (before this you had to push/pull to open the door) 🛏️ Room - Was surprisingly bigger than I expected for a 15m room with 2 single beds (Superior Twin Room) and most importantly clean! There is a small fridge, hair dryer, kettle, mugs, a small window, a big TV in front of the beds, bathtub and shower. The hotel also provides 2 bottles of mineral water daily. It felt like it had everything I needed. Also, PEAK flushing system. No weird toilet smell after flushing at all. 🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏻 The staff - They were warm and polite. Jin, Jaehyuk, Sue and I think there was another guy too. They would always greet you warmly every day which made me feel very welcomed. 10/10 to the staff. 🛍️ Neighbourhood - The neighbourhood is pretty lively but not hectic, which was nice. There were street performances near Hyundai Department(mall nearby) Store every other night and it was nice seeing people just chilling around, some on cute dates. It genuinely felt like I was in a K summer flick. Lots of places to eat, GS25, cafes.

🏨 Hotel - While the location is great, it is situated slightly uphill which may not be ideal if you like wearing heels or have a few heavy luggages with you. I mean yes, yes there is an airport limousine bus stop nearby, but honestly just take K.Ride or Uber from the airport and save yourself the stress of dragging your luggage around here and there. Is it family-friendly? Maybe not the most ideal for families with young children but perfect for younger travellers, couples or friends who enjoy walking around exploring cafés, food spots, vape shops and claw machine arcades. 🛏️ Room - It’s not that I didn’t like the room, it’s just that the wall plugs can feel a bit limited. Would advise bringing your own extension plug (ideally with a long cable) + a travel adapter so you’ll be able to charge multiple devices like phones and power banks all at once.

The location was great especially for us as we took the airport bus which was 3 mins away. The place was very welcoming and inviting, with the staff adding to that as well.

Being on the first floor was fine but the doors could be fixed as we did bump into our neighbor across and the doors were hard to open as they open outwards. Also the windows were fine but the view of the parking and public was a bit strange.

I like the position and the staff, particulary Min, she 's very nice. Great stay, nice room and affordable price.

Zu viele Lichter im Zimmer, es ist konstant etwas laut im Zimmer, Badetür schlecht und deswegen fühlt es sich schnell stickig an im Zimmer
