Riverside House Bristol

The location is fantastic. We have stayed in Bristol many times and this was by far one of the best. The property was clean, communication was great and as a group we absolutely loved it.

The apartment is in a very central location, spacious and well equipped for a couple of days. Dog friendly.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get any sleep due to the extremely loud noise coming from the pub downstairs, which went on until around 3 a.m., and this was on weeknights (Tuesday to Thursday), not the weekend. The windows aren’t soundproof, so it felt like we were right out on the street. I’m not usually very sensitive to noise, but in this case, it was incredibly loud. On top of that, the shower was broken and only produced very hot water, making it unusable. This and the noise made the stay very uncomfortable—especially as I was in Bristol for a conference and needed to be well rested.

It was close to city centre and was relatively spacious. The customer service agent Charlie was very kind and helpful, even personally bringing us toiletries and a change of appliances when requested.

The noise is really bad especially in Flat C - it’s directly above King Street Brewhouse so it’s difficult to get any peace in the evenings at all. It’s not the property owners’ fault, just needs to be known. The living room is also quite cramped if people are sleeping on the sofa bed, it’s difficult to use the bed and the dining table at the same time. Ventilation in the bathroom could also be better as it’s windowless. Overall not the best place for younger children as it’s on a very lively pub street but for people who are here to go out it’s a pretty convenient place :-)

Quite noisy due to the pubs on king street, this didn’t bother us but may be a negative for some.

Fantastic response and helpfulness from the host. The location was perfect and the accommodation was very clean and warm.

Nothing really, only super minor issue was that a few light bulbs needed replacing but it really didn't affect our stay.

The pubs next to the flat were too noisy. the coffee machine and the kitchen in general was not clean. The drain of the basin was not working well.
