Kalimetiya Beach Cabana

Dinner was amazing, the family is lovely, the room and bathroom are clean and cozy. Totally recommended

This was a delightful homestay in a small cabana adjacent the family home. I travelled solo a few days and decided to stay here, and am so glad to have found this gem. From the warm welcome, to the amazing food, to the lagoon safari to getting to know the lovely granddaughter who had a few days off school - I felt safe & secure with my comfort being their priority - I felt spoiled!! A heartfelt thank you, and I hope to return again.

Such a nice family. Very welcoming and helpful. Great food and offers bird watching tour at reasonable price. Room a little small but big bathroom. All in all a good option for a few days.

The family were very kind. The room was clean and very comfortable. I would recommend it as a lovely area to explore

The nearest beach was a little tricky to get onto but there was miles of sandy beach.

Very lovely family, from the mother who cooks delicious food..fish her husband had caught that day.., the daughter who took us on the lagoon bird spotting trip, and the niece anxious to help out as well. Breakfast was also delicious.

The people running it are amazing. It’s good value for what you get. There is always room for improvement however, they put their heart and soul into it. They offer amazing food (really recommend) and bird watching boat tours in the lagoon. I will definitely come by again and support these people. Thank you

unique family/locals place, on the edge to all this expensive tourist-hotels. so helpfull and caring. my wife is getting sick and this family helped us so kind, in the middle of the night, like she was her own daughter!!! they arranged everything for us, beautifull boat trip with the son, local fishing with the other son, laundry service, we even are allowed to use their refridgerator, arranged transfers -> so we don't get cheated by others! we will come back for sure.

It says on booking the room does have AC but it hasn't. However, we didn't miss the AC because the room was not too hot and the fan was enough for us.

The hosting family is really friendly and the location is also great. We stayed there for 1 night and had a really tasty breakfast in the morning. Their home is located just 10 minutes to the beach and very close to the mangrove. The family also offers a boat tour with their catamaran. If you want to stay at a sri lankan home, this place is perfect for you.
