Kalimetiya Beach Cabana

I very much enjoyed my stay. The hosts are very friendly and really made my time here great!. The included breakfast was very good and included lots of fresh fruit, coconut rotti and coffee. I also added dinner for 2000 rupees and received a gigantic meal. If you are looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay this is a great spot!

Fantastic location. The hosts were wonderful and took me around the lagoon. The area is great for walking. The cabana is so close to the sea and the lagoon. The breakfast was homemade Sri Lankan cooking. A good start to the day.

Very friendly and thoughtful family. We feeling myself like at home. It's truth. Seems likes arrived to a parents, which very happy, that you came. The territory is interesting, the house is simple , but there are all needed facilities. It was good sleep at night, doesn't warm. Tasty and fresh food. And of course people, everyone! Thank you!

The family are wonderful. They're kind, friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our time with them very much. The cabana is close to the beautiful Kalimetiya beach and bird sanctuary. For peace and quiet, local life and friendly people it's a lovely village to spend a few days in. The cabana is basic, but comfortable, with its own terrace looking out over the garden. Thank you for your smiles and kindness and see you again!

They served tasty local food. That is “amma curry”, which means the house’s good taste. Surprised dinner is Rs.2000 per each but other restaurants offer these prices so it’s not surprising. Very friendly people over there.

Firstly, a Bulgaria lady manages this B&B through this booking.com. So the contact number is her country’s. The local people said this house built her. Due to the reason, she doesn’t know how this B&B is managed at all. Inside is not clean specifically we saw some spider’s nests… That’s why I advised to local people that you have to manage it. If doing so, they can contact all things about stay directly. Secondly, theirs no AC. This B&B on earth is not suitable to AC because it’s like a Sri Lanka traditional house. I advised she should delete immediately about there is AC. But she said hard to do due to booking.com don’t cope with this problem. She said she complained about it to booking.com. But if so, she must contact with me before staying. Thirdly, a recording talks from nearest Buddhist temple was coming all day long. This is not cause to local people but very noisy and could not sleep well. It’s better to stay here around Poya day. I directly complained local people and messaged this Bulgarian owner. Probably these problems will be corrected if they accept my sincere advises.
