Best place to be there. The two boat trips have been super, Lukas was very good guide. A lot of spare time, bring something to read with. Good Wifi at the main Hose and in the rooms.

Night tour was again 150 R. That is too much. But you come very close to birds. The smell of the toilet cleaner was also in the room

Niesamowite miejsce w dżungli. Natura, natura i jeszcze raz natura! Rejsy były bardzo interesujące, a przewodnik opowiadał wiele ciekawych rzeczy. Udało nam się zobaczyć Wielką piątkę Borneo!

Questo lodge nella foresta mi è piaciuto molto proprio per la sua autenticità. È una struttura semplice e accogliente, senza fronzoli inutili, ma con tutto ciò che serve per sentirsi bene. Non dà la sensazione di essere in un resort turistico artificiale: qui ci si sente davvero immersi nella natura, in un vero lodge nella foresta. Ho apprezzato molto anche le dimensioni contenute della struttura: pochi ospiti, atmosfera tranquilla e un’esperienza molto più intima rispetto ai grandi lodge. Questo permette di vivere la foresta con calma, senza folla, quasi come se fosse un piccolo rifugio nella giungla. Brava la guida che ci ha accompagnato alle escursioni a vedere i big five del Borneo. Un ringraziamento speciale alla cuoca, che con grande gentilezza ha preparato ogni giorno un menu vegetariano apposta per me. È stata un’attenzione davvero premurosa che ho apprezzato moltissimo. Nel complesso un’esperienza autentica e molto piacevole per chi vuole vivere davvero la foresta.

Se devo suggerire un miglioramento, rivedrei un po’ le camere: una rinfrescata ai muri e qualche piccolo intervento di manutenzione le renderebbero ancora più accoglienti senza snaturare lo spirito semplice e naturale del lodge.

Guides et pilote de la barque

Emplacement quelconque, alors que la plupart des lodges sur la rivière ont les chambres sur ou vue sur la rivière, celles ci sont loin, avec des allées béton extrêmement glissantes pour y accéder. Les repas plus que simples, non variés avec très peu de fruits et légumes frais, nos pires repas en deux mois de trek en Malaisie. Pas d’eau chaude dans les chambres. Aucune souplesse dans les activités proposées alors que l’on passe sa journée à attendre.

Großartige Unterkunft, sehr gutes Essen, tolle Sitzmöglichkeiten in der Natur und vor allem unglaublich viele Tiere sowohl rund um die Unterkunft als auch vor allem bei den Bootstouren. Ein toller Ort um Orang-Utans und Elefanten zu sehen.

Feels like camp :) Nice big porch. Marc is an awesome guide, liaison, your go-to man and always with a smile on his face with good humor. Well done on all the boat rides. I chose to upgrade to the newer strip of just constructed rooms. Nice and new with a/c. Good food by Marc’s wife !

Still needs additional construction and touch ups. It’s rustic for sure.

Everywhere including my room was extremely clean. The food was DELICIOUS. My guide and everyone who works here is so kind. Went out of his way to show me every possible animal. I saw all the Borneo Big 5 in 3 days - so lucky. Monkeys everywhere outside your room including proboscis monkeys, also saw a civet and monitor lizard. The staff made me a packed breakfast as I checked out early, dropped me at the bus stop and helped me with my ticket. Such kind people and as you’re in the most remote lodge you have a lot more wildlife outside your bedroom door. Amazing. Highly recommend. Felt super safe as a solo female traveller too.

Sehr nettes Personal, leckeres, reichliches Essen. Danke an unseren Guide Marc, der uns mit großem Wissen und scharfen Augen so viele Tiere gezeigt und vieles erklärt hat ! Wir hatten außergewöhnliches Glück, waren bei unserer Übernachtung die einzigen Gäste und haben alle Borneo Big Five gesehen ! Schlafen inmitten der Tiergeräusche des Regenwalds. Guter Shuttle-Dienst vom und zum Flughafen Sandakan. Keine Moskitos in der Unterkunft trotz Regenzeit, nur wenige auf der Restaurant-Terasse.

Da die Unterkunft mitten im Regenwald liegt, muss man bereit sein, Abstriche beim Komfort zu machen; störend fanden wir nur den etwas unangenehmen Geruch im Bad. Für die eher einfache Unterkunft entschädigen aber Natur und Tierwelt ! Der Walk musste leider wegen Regen ausfallen. Dafür hatten wir insgesamt drei Boot-Cruises.

Every people are very nice, especially the guide Mr. Kai and the boat driver Mr. Neil gave us wonderful cruise journeys with seeing elephant families,orangutans, Proboscis Monkey, Horbills, snakes and many many birds. We also chose the optional night cruise (with Mr. Mark-the night search expert) during which we saw different animals like owls, eagles, sleeping monkeys and crocodiles etc. And each cruise, they extended the time much longer in order for us to see more. We really appreciate their hospitality.

In this season, the cycling fans are enough to the room, even a little cold in night. I’m not sure if it’s ok in Summer Season. The manager told me they will add air conditioning soon.
