HEELTEVREDE Self-Catering farmhouse

We had everything we needed. The host Adell was very friendly and helpful. The venue was accessible and not far from the city centre. The venue was very private and that's what my friends always want...some privacy.

The main bedroom had no privacy...if they can cover it, it will be better because it's just in the open. The geyser also needs to be cleaned or changed...when turned off it takes too long to make the water hot and consumes a lot of electricity.

The location was private and refreshing.

We loved the location, a farmhouse on a working farm, with a lovely garden, lawn for the children to play on and awesome veranda to relax on and listen to the birds, enjoy the view, and sunset. While some may prefer more modern or luxurious furniture and appliances, for us the farmhouse just as it is was very comfortable and charming. It is very close to the highway, yet you would never guess that when sitting peacefully out on the veranda. It is also less than 10 km to the nearest mall for groceries or restaurants, if desired.

On arrival at the gate I called the host, she opened the gate remotely and directed me to the house where she met us within a couple of minutes. Very quiet on the farm, house was very spacious and clean. Wifi worked well for the bit of work I had to do in between. Very old house suited the farm feeling. A bit of a drive in and out of town, but quite close to town for a farm stay.

I can't fault them on anything.

The location is perfect, quiet and have meet my expectation, as for breakfast is normal for a self catering accomodation.

Loved the spacious rooms and the showers were fantastic with high pressure and heat as it was very cold weather. Beds are very comfortable ,clean sheets are crisp and warm. Our little dog also loved being in the garden and it was so lovely for us to be able to bring her along. Adel is a wonderful host. Enjoyed the old rustic farm style home. A lovely weekend for our family.

Door handles and skirtings need some tlc.

Very peaceful. Lots of space. Great for a stopover. Good value for money for a group of people

Kettle was unusable. Lighting is quite harsh. Mattress uncomfortable.

Peace and quiet, farm life, old-home charm. The host was very helpful and friendly.

The electricity went off, on a very cold night. No fault of the hosts, but they were well-prepared for electricity outage.
