Speke Apartments Wampewo

- Location is good with proximity to nearby restaurants - The gym is great - Two-bedroom apartments are great

- We opted for one-bedroom apartments which given the price are not really up to standard but needs renovation. The two-bedroom apartments are renovated and really great, so I would recommend those instead, including for solo travellers - The breakfast is very weak with poor choice. This is an apartment hotel and probably most guests are make their own breakfast so it is understandable that a big buffet would not be viable for quite few guests having hotel breakfast. My recommendation would be to have an à la carte breakfast instead - The pool as such is actually great and eligible for recreational swimming , and it is heated which is not common in Kampala. However, it closes at 19.00 (7 pm) so we could not really use it though, which was very disappointing. I would much recommend that the pool would be open until 21.00

I had requested a quiet room but was given a room next to the car park (ground floor) and next to the generator room (VERY NOISY)

The rooms are facing the grave yard and old buildings. on the website,they don't explain that some rooms are not on the main building, so you feel isolated. cooking oil smells all the place downstairs.
