Morika Villa

The view at the sea was very nice and the beach is reachable through the built path down or you can take an easy stroll through the woods. If you continue your walk, you will reach the beach area, where you can expect more of the white sandy area. For swimming it is better to stay on the side, where the boats are located, as after the jetty, there are some dangerous underwater swirls. We stayed in villa 1 and 2. In the middle you can find a connecting spacious living area, equipped with a kitchen, fridge, water dispenser and coffee+tea. The beds and cushions (not too compact) were very clean and comfortable, the bath room (great outdoor shower + tub) has shampoo and soap dispensers, so you may travel light. The restaurant offers tasty western & local dishes (we liked the moringa soup + kapu'u salad) and they even grow their own vegetables, which we found great! We found it best to inform the restaurant slightly in advance, which dishes we wanted to order. As villa Morika only has four villas in total, it is very private. You may expect to only hear the nature and the waves, there were no roosters, dogs barking or motorcycles. We enjoyed it very much.

Perhaps some more space to dry the bathing suits.

Merci pour ce magnifique moment hors du temps ! L’hôtel est magnifique, la vue est incroyable, l’hôtel est propre, calme, et toute l’équipe est adorable, nous avons été reçus comme des rois, merci pour cet accueil si chaleureux !! Le restaurant est aussi très bon !

Ce n’est pas que nous n’avons pas aimé, mais juste pour vous « prévenir » qu’à Sumba tout est assez éloigné, il faut en général 30 min de route pour se rendre à un autre endroit / restaurant, nous avons loué un scooter à l’hôtel, la route pour y arriver est en terre mais ça va quand même, ça ne dure pas tres longtemps ! Mais c’est bien de savoir que c’est un hôtel assez isolé :)

Empezando por las vistas , impresionantes amaneceres todos los días desde tu propia cama . El hotel solo tiene 4 habitaciones, por lo qué es muy tranquilo, sin ruidos , solo las olas del mar . El personal es de lo mejor que hemos encontrado en Indonesia , que en todos los hoteles fantásticos, pero en este especial , nos trataron como si fuéramos de la familia . Son un equipo fabuloso , y eso se trasmite . La comida fantástica , te hacían lo que pedías sin poner ninguna pega . Si algún día podemos , volveremos , seguro .

Nada , todo impresiónate. Lo único malo tener que irnos .

A Villa Morika et fan sentir des del primer moment com a casa, les intalacions un 10, hem dinat i sopat al restaurant de l’hotel varis dies i tenen molta varietat de menú. Habitacions immillorables. La pisicina sempre tranquila, neta i amb unes vistes espectaculars. El seu personal és el que més podem destacar, la Ririn i els seus companys ens han cuidat com si fóssim la seva família.

Estuvimos 5 noches y la verdad que estuvimos como en casa. Es un hotel nuevo y se nota, está todo muy bien cuidado y decorado con gusto. La habitación es enorme y el baño también, la parte de la ducha y bañera al aire libre, muy bonito. El desayuno variado y muy bueno. Y puedes comer y cenar, nosotros solo cenábamos, ya que, a mediodía estamos de excursión, la cena muy variada y buena. Coincidio el Día de la Independencia con nuestra estancia y fue muy bonito, ya que, el hotel organizo unos juegos y merienda para los niños de la zona, toda una experiencia ver lo felices que eran y un gran detalle por parte de hotel. El personal de hotel es de 10, muy atentos, siempre pendientes de que estemos bien, cada día cuando cogíamos la scooter para nuestras excursiones nos preguntaban por la ruta y luego que nos había parecido. La ubicación buena, a ver las distancias en Sumba son largas, pero por ejemplo para ir a las playas de Morica, Wate Bella, el pueblo de Praijing, las cascadas y campos de arroz de Weekacura puedes ir en scooter.

La struttura affaccia sul mare … è’ possibile fare colazione proprio lì davanti oppure ordinare i pasti e ricevere il servizio in camera. Lo staff è così gentile , ci hanno accolto con grande entusiasmo dal primo momento. Si sono presi cura di noi durante tutto il nostro alloggio a Villa Morika. Il ristorante offre dei piatti buonissimi . Torneremo sicuramente ❤️

The staff and location are absolute highlights of our stay. We were here during Indonesian Independence Day and were included in the activities of the day. It was a highlight.

Be aware of the location - it’s gorgeous but you will need to think about how you are going to get around. Otherwise the villa is nice to spend the days as well.

Amabilidad, tranquilidad, independencia

Lo mejor de 2 semanas en Indonesia en 4 hoteles distintos en Bali Gili y Sumba.

Emplacement fabuleux, chambres très bien équipées, personnel très bienveillant. C'est un petit hôtel un peu isolé, comme souvent à Sumba, mais le restaurant est de très bonne qualité et on peut profiter des lieux.
