Ocean Waters

This home was artfully decorated and outfitted to enjoy your own exceptionally private paradise. We were blown away by the homes location, with views from the Napier to Gisborne. The beaches were amazing to hike with a famous nature preserve just a short drive down the street. It was very difficult to leave this property as the views are truly mesmerizing.

Very quiet and secluded, there really is no one else around...Very nice, reasonably new house so everything is modern and tidy. We stayed in winter and it was warm with the gas fire but did notice there's no air con so do wonder if it would get too hot in the summer. The view is just amazing and by far the best bit about this house, you can enjoy it from every room with the floor to ceiling windows so waking up to the view out over the water was pretty special. Kitchen is well equipped to be able to cook which is great with there being limited food options in Mahia, the meal we cooked here was better then what we got at the local pub lol. The bottle of wine and choccies in the fridge were a nice surprise. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I wouldn't stay here with young children unless you want to be on edge (of a literal cliff) watching them constantly. Maybe a warning in booking info about the road up to the house would be good too, I could imagine for someone who wasn't a confident driver this road and driveway could be a bit intimidating. There's no dishwasher, not that this in itself is an issue however there were glasses, plates and cutlery that we had to wash before using as they were put away still dirty, other places we've stayed have requested dishwasher to be turned on before leaving so maybe something similar could help here. There was an empty body wash bottle in the shower and an almost empty toilet paper roll on the holder, not sure if these had just been missed but it did make me wonder if the bathroom had been cleaned before our stay even though it appeared clean enough.

This property was beautifully presented with an outstanding location. Extremely private, romantic and relaxing. Hosts were awesome to communicate with. Exceeded our expectations and highly recommend 👌

The pillows were too thick for our liking, however we usually take our own pillows so this usually would not have been an issue.

The view is amazing, the house is compact but spacious and very clean. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay, in terms of cooking, serving, entertaining etc. Bed was comfy, sofa was comfy, TV etc. great. Highly recommend! It's only a short drive from the shops/beach (5 mins).

Stunning location and view, beautiful batch! Beds were extremely comfortable and loved waking up to amazing views of the ocean. Honestly could not have been happier
