Easy check-in and let us leave bags there while we climbed MP. Room was clean and tidy with all the expected amenities. Location is good and not too loud.

Very disappointing experience at Hotel Pucara in Aguas Calientes. The room had almost no sound insulation, and there was constant music, microphone announcements, yelling, and screaming from a nearby school that made it impossible to sleep or work remotely. It was loud enough to clearly be heard in phone recordings, I would share here the recordings if Booking allowed videos. Before realizing how bad the situation was, I had actually asked to extend my stay another night, but staff said they could not accommodate me despite availability still appearing online. I also had two incidents where my door opened or was attempted to be opened. I honestly could not tell whether someone was actually trying to enter or whether the hotel infrastructure was so poor that other doors slamming caused mine to open/move. Either way, it made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Staff briefly reviewed the security cameras in front of me, but they were mostly skipping through footage quickly rather than thoroughly checking what was happening outside my room. The most disappointing part was the staff response — during checkout I was even called a liar. They refunded the unused second night, but part of the refund was given in USD bills with pink stains that I now cannot exchange. Overall, this was a very stressful and unprofessional stay.
