Very accommodating with everything from rentals to travel plans.

- The staff really made our experience! They were all very generous and helpful with our plans. - Very easy to communicate with. - The kitchen and shared spaces were very clean and tidy. Breakfast included in price with plenty of options. - Includes free pick up/drop off to bus stops/train station. - Free shuttle to various slopes around Hakuba. Early morning drop off and any time pick up between a certain time in the afternoon. - Very accomodating and flexible to our plans and quick to offer help when needed.

- Travelling with big groups makes for a squishy room, however there are plenty of spaces to hang out in outside the bedroom.

We only had one night at Sneaky Peaks, but we left wishing we’d booked a longer stay. Tim picked us up from the ski rental shop and immediately made us feel welcome. Our room was a great size, and all the facilities were spotless and well kept. One of the highlights was the lodge’s drop off service to any ski resort in the valley between 8am and 4pm, this was incredibly convenient, especially since the lodge is located downhill from the main Goryu ski area.

A tricky one to answer, but the only real area for improvement would be breakfast. Having a bit more on offer before a full day on the slopes would make the stay even better. Otherwise, it’s a great place with genuinely lovely team of people.

Awesome place to stay! The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable about the area and skiing tips. Approachable and available for a chat pretty much any time. Loved being able to chat with other guests in the main room too. Our bedroom was so fun (slept 3- one double bed, one single bed), beautiful and relatively spacious. Facilities are clean, functional and thoughtful. The free brekky helped to take the stress out of the morning. The free driving services to the mountains each morning also suuuuuper handy and just a fun drive with the drivers!

Having to keep pressing 'on' for the shower in one of the bathrooms (times out after about a minute) Suggestion- getting an urn for hot water (instead of waiting for water to boil in electric kettle each time I want a hot drink)

Excellent stay - the staff were all so friendly and helpful and it was the perfect little lodge for our skiing trip to Habuka.

Everything!!! Me and my partner stayed here for three nights and it was amazing. It’s in a great location with easy access to the slopes, the staff are so kind and helpful with everything, and can help with any questions you have. I would 100% reccomend for solo travelers to big families, it’s great no matter what !

An old Japanese ski lodge given a new lease of life by a young Aussie couple and their amazing team. Breakfast was available each morning to fuel 6-8 hours each day on the slopes. Staff are friendly and always on-hand with recommendations from food to ski resorts and transport. The best part is their morning shuttle service which brings you to 6 of the ski resorts in Hakuba before opening hours so you can be the first to hit the powder when the slopes open.

My only regret is not having more time here, would highly recommend booking your stay at Sneaky Peaks.

We chose this place because of the reviews, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Matt and Jen, along with the entire team, went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. From spot-on recommendations for food and the best slopes to up-to-date weather advice, they made planning each day so easy. The morning shuttles to the different Hakuba slopes were a huge bonus, and they run three supermarket trips each week, making it easy to stock up on snacks or cook in the newly renovated kitchen. Booking our rentals through Central Snowsports as they recommend was the dream, we were taken there the day before our first ski day, and then dropped at Sneaky Peaks with all our gear, ready to hit the snow from day one. Meant day one we were up and ready to go, zero hassle. A special shout-out to TK for the excellent ski and weather advice, Bax for the lift to the snow monkey tour (and for generally keeping us entertained), Aiden for picking us up on arrival, and Tom for seeing us off at the end. We honestly can’t say enough good things about this place — we’ll definitely be back next season! (Work and wallet permitting).
