Peanut House

More like a local homestay than hostel - the family staying downstairs are such lovely people! I was sick throughout my stay but they made sure to check on me and bring me lots of fruit and hot water would highly recommend staying here if you want a more homely cultural vibe than a party hostel 🫶🏼

Friendly hosts, I enjoyed conversations with the owner over cups of coffee in the morning. Beds in the dorm were comfortable, but could be a bit stuffy.

Host to action to begin fixing this when I brought it up, but the water heater was broken and there wasn't much water pressure. Shouldn't be an issue anymore but I didn't stay long enough to see if the problem was solved.

The owners were really kind and always making sure you are comfortable!

The owners are lovely people who are very keen to please. They even do your washing and ironing for a VERY reasonable price. Its location is ideal for shops, markets and restaurants. Good breakfast of eggs, fruit and bread

The owner family was so kind and caring. They were always watching out for me. They provided everything I needed: breakfast, laundry, she washed my sneakers after I went on a hike, water. I felt so comfortable and at home.

The staff were aggressively offering us whatever they could. She offered us laundry service for 20K per kilo and said that everywhere else it would be 35K, of course we had our laundry done elsewhere for 15K per kilo. I saw the lady cleaning the room and I highly doubt that she changed the sheets. The bathroom was a disaster! Unlockable toilets, cold showers, sinks so far that you need to be very tall to reach them... The breakfast was rather symbolic than caloric. I would be afraid to climb the ladder to the upper beds since some of them were broken already and others were tied with a sharp wire.
