Morin Resort

We choose a villa that had a view of the sea.

The steps up and down to the restaurant were a challenge but it did improve my fitness. It is something that need thinking about for people with knee issues and those of a certain age.

Lovely light-drenched rooms, nice pool, located on a hillside between 2 beaches. Good beds, fabulous outdoor bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff, very quick response to help us book our trip to Lembongan. If you follow their advice (ask them, they are happy to assist!) you have seamless transfers from your hotel in Bali to the Morin Resort, and back. Lembongan was a delightful surprise (and relief) after the bustle of Bali. We extended our stay. The 'road' in is 'special', reflecting the mountainous terrain and wild nature of the island. You wouldn't want a car, but we rented motorbikes to explore the beautiful coves, beaches, and restaurants of Lembongan and Ceningan. An easy 10-12 min. walk above the ocean, and along the beach into town.

The restaurant was almost vegan (but with eggs for breakfast!) which surprised us, we hadn't read the information adequately. Not a problem, there are plenty of restaurants in town, and you can get fabulous real bread (and gelato) at the french bakery.

Decor and furnishings could be better for the price you pay for this hotel. You get more when you spend this amount in other hotels in Bali.

We stayed in the Ocean Suite for 5 nights. The view was incredible, the space was great, the bed comfy. The food was delicious (and I’m not a vegan/veggie). The staff were very friendly and attentive. Room service is included and available for every meal. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning. It’s amazing as you get a hot drink, juice, fruits and a main choice. The prices were very reasonable for lunch, dinner and drinks with a varied mostly vegan menu. The pool area is beautiful, the yoga platform is super cool and generally speaking the place is just so lovely and you feel so relaxed. We had massages in our room on three occasions, the price was very reasonable and we made the most of it! What a treat. Everything was organised super smoothly by the reception via WhatsApp.

There are lots of steps as the resort is on the hillside so be prepared to go up and down and watch your step as they are steep and uneven. The bathroom was outside of the room (although still private and only accessible by us). There were a few marks on the walls and things that looks a little unfinished, but that was part of the charm.
