Lovely quiet rustic setting, very welcoming hosts, on site bar and restaurant.

Room was cold and the two bar heater only warmed it up a little.

Location

The room was reasonably clean, but very old, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. We chose to have dinner at the restaurant, but the friendliness of the staff could definitely have been better. In the evening (and also in de morning during breakfast) we were more or less ignored. No one really checked on us (for example, whether we enjoyed the meal), and we often had to ask for things ourselves. Additionally, we were told that all red wines were the same price, but when we received the bill, it turned out that the wine we had chosen was three times as expensive as the cheapest option?? Not very proper. Breakfast in the morning is quite basic. The dogs roaming around the property are friendly in the end, but they initially come running at you barking loudly, which can be quite intimidating. The location with a view of the mountains is beautiful, but all in all, I would not return.

Maulene and Stephan were excellent hosts who made us very welcome. Beautiful location with bar and restaurant on site.

I booked a family room but this was not available on the first night due to double booking. Staff were apologetic but there was No price reduction for the inconvenience and smaller room. There was a wedding so rather crowded and noisy. Other guests tried to enter our room.

Friendly staff and a lovely Saturday night vibe in the pub/restaurant where the locals clearly enjoy the hospitality of the owners.

Super relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful setting.

We wanted to check out at 7 but no one was around. There was a group of farmers hogging the communal Braaf area. Not the fault of management.
