Great cozy feeling. Evenothough the place is small it has been managed super well. Fireplace was a good to have.

We stayed here for only one night while driving through the mountains on our bike. On our short stay the hosts warmth, generosity and customer service made a lasting impression on us. He let us check in late and had his brother meet us to answer any questions. He also provided us wood to use the fire ♥️ this was so appreciated after driving for days and being very cold in some areas. You will not find a cosier place in nuwara eliya. Being able to make hot drinks with the refreshments provided & heating up our left over takeaway with the microwave was a god send!! We were so tired after driving the host let us check out late by a few hours at no extra cost. The cabin was cosy, warm, fresh and felt really special. We watched a beautiful orange golden sunset from behind the mountain tops while being wrapped up in the fleecy blankets with our hot drinks in the upstairs bedroom. We slept downstairs because of the warming fire, the bed was the comfiest we slept in our 2 months travelling Sri Lanka! Lakshitha the host is a genuine and great man, super laid back and will go miles out of his way for you. We had the pleasure of meeting him briefly on leaving and he was just a straight up cool guy with a quirky place and nothing but the best vibes. We wish you every success. Overview: We stayed at Haven Chalet for a couple of days and overall, we were quite pleased with our experience. It has a unique charm that's especially appreciable after spending time in the heat. Ambiance: One of the highlights is definitely the ability to relax by an open fireplace. It's a fantastic way to unwind and adds a cozy atmosphere to the chalet. Room Quality: Despite the noise issue, the room was very clean and quaint. It's well-maintained and comfortable for guests. Balcony View: The chalet features a wonderful balcony that offers views of the mountains and the city. It's a great spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation, adding to the overall value of staying here. Conclusion: Haven Chalet offers a generally positive stay with its unique fireplace feature, clean and quirky rooms, and scenic balcony views. The soundproofing issue is something to keep in mind, but on the whole, it's a recommendable spot for a short stay.

The only downside we noticed was the soundproofing. The walls are quite thin, making it possible to hear neighbours and street noise at night. This could be a consideration for light sleepers.

Staff was very helpful and decent ... design was perfect qnd coozy for each detail in the place .. highly recommended for friends.

Road was narrow somehow for the car but for tuktuk is ok There are some insects from the plants but can be declined easily with a spray

The room was really cool and it had been set up amazingly. Comfortable room with extra blankets and amenities you’d need except an iron.

There is a local temple that broadcasts prayers throughout the night and day that you can hear. Not great if you’re a light sleeper.

Great little chalet with everything you need. Great host. Love the fireplace especially on a cool Newara Eliya night.

Do not follow the google maps shortcut if you are driving a tuktuk. Look for the signs that take you the long way around. Can be a little noisy as you can hear the chanting and the neighbours.
