Akwaba Lodge Island Boutique Hotel

De rust en de ruimte. Het huis was erg groot en keuken was goed verzorgd qua spullen. We misten wel een koffiezetapparaat en een paar basisspullen als zout, peper en theezakjes. Dik pluspunt: we mochten kajaks en sups gebruiken en snorkelspullen lenen. Ook kon je heerlijk zitten in loungebankjes of in de hangmat luieren op de steiger. Het hele rijk voor je alleen. Ook het geluid van de vogels om je heen was fantastisch. Je bent er 1 met de natuur daar. Prachtige tuin en vegetatie.

We hadden iets meer verwacht van de locatie. De foto's komen niet helemaal overeen. We keken erg uit naar het snorkelen maar dat vonden we niet heel erg bijzonder. Was toch wel erg oppassen ook met eventuele taxibootjes die langs de accommodatie varen. Je bent afhankelijk van eigen boodschappen doen op ander eiland, of met taxiboot naar restaurant of eten bij de eigenaren. We vonden het eten matig, ontbijt was ewn beetje te weinig voor opgroeiende kinderen en bijbetalen als je iets anders wilt dan brood. Weinig interactie met het personeel helaas, ze kwamen een beetje ongeïnteresseerd over. Wel leuk gekletst met de eigenaren.

The location is great and very calm but yet, only 5 minutes in taxi boat from the main area. The owners are extremely nice and helpful and their food was excellent

Estabamos de viaje por Costa Rica y nos sobraban algunos días. Decidimos cruzar a Panamá para conocer Bocas del Toro. Creo que no hubieramos podido encontrar mejor lugar que el Akwaba. Un trato por parte de los dueños muy próximo que nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Son muy abiertos y siempre estan pendientes de que estés bien. Cenamos todos los días en el hotel, tienen un menú con varias opciones y cada día es diferente. Comida de mucha calidad a un precio muy asequible. Si volvemos a Bocas del Toro repetiríamos seguro en el Akwaba.

Este sitio es maravilloso. Nuestra estancia ha sido perfecta, empezando desde la ubicación del hotel, las instalaciones, las comidas y sobre todo el servicio. 100% recomendable. Es impecable.

I had the pleasure of spending four magical days at Akwaba Lodge in Bocas del Toro, and it was truly a dream come true! They are warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make your stay special. Always ready with great advice, whether it's helping you plan excursions, suggesting excellent restaurants on nearby islands, or simply ensuring you're comfortable – they truly care about their guests. The food at the on-site restaurant is exceptional! Every dish is a delight – fresh, flavorful, and infused with a unique French touch that makes it absolutely delicious. Dining here was a daily highlight. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic escape, a solo traveler, or a family with kids – this place has something for everyone. There are plenty of activities to enjoy together, and the whole property is thoughtfully designed to cater to relaxation and fun. I highly, highly recommend Akwaba Lodge to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable holiday experience in Bocas del Toro. I can't wait to come back!

Absolutely nothing , everything was just PERFECT

Séjour exceptionnel, excellent accueil, chambre confortable avec terrasse privée vue sur la jungle, petit déjeuné avec une vue sur la lagune. lieu calme et reposant. Un super échange avec les propriétaires qui nous ont donnés plein de conseils de visite pour découvrir du mieux possible les îles. Merci encore pour l'aide afin de venir et repartir de l'île.

So peaceful and we used the kayaks to paddle to red frog Beach and hospital point and snorkeled along the way. We saw dolphins and sloths and monkeys. We took a tour to zapatilla islands with a water taxi guy. Had a great time!
