It was advertised that there was a lodge to enjoy, fire and all. It was locked the entire 48 hrs we were there. There was a separate ‘lounge’, but interesting….Did not see a soul. Reviews said that there was a yummy organic breakfast, but there wasn’t any breakfast at all. Just referrals to restaurants. No one to ask, and had been looking forward to the breakfast at that price!!! It was a totally deserted place. Stayed in the artist studio, eclectic, but for the price and lack of breakfast, would give 2 stars. No communication beyond the email and our name on a placard. We were glad we arrived in the daytime or difficult to find.

"Book this place fast, to get the relaxation you deserve!!"

9.0

This place is an amazing haven for anyone wanting to get away from it all. My husband and I appreciated the succulent and cacti landscaping (I'm a plant nerd), which had huge Agaves that were clearly old and mature. Many were towering over our heads; they were massive! There is even a vegetable garden within a caged outbuilding (to keep little critters out). I may have to build one of those myself! The whole property is carefully curated. The owner lives on site, and is available if needed. He's super friendly, and we just "clicked." If you want to feel like you're in a peaceful, private resort, look no further. You've found it! We happened to be the lucky first couple to use the newly refurbished spa, which had been sitting idle for quite some time. What a pleasure! The spa is so large, it could easily hold several couples without feeling over crowded. We were fortunate enough to experience this beauty alone, which added to our enjoyment. We were astounded at the amount of thoughtfulness the owner put into this Inn. The main lodge is a masterpiece of carefully curated pieces, and I was memorized by the vintage artwork, books, jewelry, and overall architectural details. Our room happened to have a cozy balcony overlooking the lodge! I sat there in a comfortable armchair and enjoyed the massive space while reading my book and drinking coffee or wine. Each of the main suites has a seating/lounging area just outside the room to relax. If we had stayed longer, we might have used it, it looked very inviting! The suite itself was comfortable and gorgeous!!! I can't say enough to thoroughly describe how much we enjoyed our stay, we will always look at this as a special place to go to unwind. Definitely worth trying it out, especially if you appreciate relaxing with art, nature, and near perfect surroundings.

Since we're coffee drinkers, the coffee bar was an underwhelming area. If you enjoy tea though, this is your place to be. One recommendation I would make is that the "gourmet" coffee maker be replaced with a unit that keeps the coffee hot. Like other coffee machines, it makes coffee and procedes to get cold. Not my preference when having my morning fix. One last thing, and this is no deal breaker, the closet has no storage such as a dresser for smaller items that don't hang. We basically lived out of our suitcases. Another recommendation is to have the stone pathways power washed, and the outdoor furniture would be nicer if they had cushions. Regardless, these are just minor details, and we didn't lose any sleep over it.

"Utterly delightful, I could have stayed on for days …"

10.0

The Artist studio is unique. Quirky, homely, a real sense of being somewhere special and belonging. Alone, no neighbours. An easel and paints to play with, a great tv, brill coffee machine, three enchanting rooms, living, bathroom and bedroom. The grounds are lovely, green, lush and delightful, the pool a super place to relax by. The whole place is calming. I felt such a reluctance to leave, a sadness even, we were so refreshed and relaxed by our stay. An oasis.

The double bed is built in such that one of you has to clamber over the other to get out. In the main house an incessant yapping dog provided some irritation but hey ho.

"Beautiful home style accommodations. Peaceful, relaxing Rejuvenating, soulful."

10.0

Owners are personable hands on and very accommodating. We felt like we were their friends inviting us over for the weekend. Pics on line do not give it Justice you have to visit or stay to truly appreciate their vision. The peace and relaxation that this Inn provides is phenomenal. First time ever I could not wait to get back to Inn after my day . Several areas on the property to sit and relax and enjoy your favorite beverage.

No food or Beverages provided but local food venues within 5 min drive. Location within 15 to 30 min of majority of locations you want to visit. proper planning eliminates this concern.

"Fun eclectic vibe."

10.0

Eclectic vibe with great paths to stroll about the property. Close enough to downtown for shopping and food and fairly central to wineries. We met Steve when we were leaving and he was very kind and helpful with suggestions for our Sunday afternoon.
