Arcade Hotel

This is newly renovated hotel in the lower, non-touristy part of Fuji. Rooms are large enough considering we’re in Japan. Greetings go out to the lady with the Aussie accent.

There is little room to put clothes or any other belongings. Sometimes one would wish that people who open a hotel get some experience as a traveller so they can avoid any mistakes they saw in places they stayed in. The biggest such problem is that there is no lift and the stairs are narrow, steep and plentiful. Beyond their control: There is some nightlife within 200m of the hotel and some people really love to impress others with their noisy cars. The rooms to the back of the building may be more quiet.

Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Gutes Bett, großes, sauberes Bad. Sehr stilvolle, moderne Einrichtung. Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse war gut (bei gutem Wetter top Aussicht auf den Mount Fuji).

Leider ist der Ort Fuji nicht so belebt wie andere Orte in der Umgebung. Die Anbindungen zum und vom Hotel weg sind ausbaufähig. Für mich hat eine Nachttischlampe gefehlt.

No lifts

I absolutely loved the environment of this hotel—minimal, authentic, and incredibly comfortable. It’s conveniently located within walking distance to public transport and surrounded by so many amazing local restaurants. The staff were super welcoming and thoughtful, helping me with my luggage and even arranging a taxi for me when I left, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. The room itself was spacious, clean, cosy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. But the highlight has to be the rooftop—you get an incredible view of Mount Fuji without needing to line up for a photo. It felt like such a hidden gem. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again 🤍

Stylish refurbished building in a reviving art - music district. Spacious new clean room, with large bathrooms.

There is no elevator is the only issue in a great place.
