Voodoo House

It’s quirky and unique! It’s on the beach front with lovely views. The staff are amazing and so kind and helpful. The bar on top is a lovely relaxing vibe and we also enjoyed the food across the road. We had a deluxe room so had aircon and a fan which was worth the extra money!

It’s not their fault but the very inconsiderate hotel next door has a party on a Saturday night with a bass that is louder than a nightclub. We were warned by message on arrival but honestly, something needs to be done as it’s totally unfair on this hotel and neighbouring homes.

The atmosphere of the Voodoo House and its decorations is very nice. Owner, reception, all the staff members were very friendly, and bartender makes great drinks. Everyone spoke English well. The town/island was experiencing power brown outs, and voodoo house, has their own generator to power the establishment. The establishment is beach front, they have nicely groomed area with ample sitting and hammocks to enjoy!! Thank you for the comfortable stay!!!

I didn't like the fact I had to leave so soon. If we had the opportunity, we would have stayed a few more days.. There was nothing to dislike.

The staff is wonderful. Amy was kind and accommodating and help secure a rental bike as well as travel to the port. Jully is wonderfully kind and welcoming. You feel so welcome the moment you arrive.

Siquijor sometimes has brownouts. Get used it or stay home!

We didn’t have water for a while which was a real problem

We loved the location. Steps from the water and so peaceful. You are in your own nook in the middle of local life with just the most stunning sunset over the ocean. Cute puppies around and locals gathering sea urchin who are more than happy to share the treat. Just bliss. Cocktails tasted great. Rooms were comfy. We even had live plants inside - so cute! Blackouts did happen every night - but that’s Siquijor for you so power was out everywhere (trust me, we stayed at a fancy 4 star place before with a ‘generator’ but had no power as well). Water pump broke for a few hours post blackout but was promptly fixed. This didn’t stop us wanting to book our last night again here. Home away from home. Staff were just so lovely and friendly. And I was treated with an amazing gift for my birthday. Would come back here in a heartbeat.Thank you guys!

During my stay, in my bedroom, the aircon wasn't functioning and the staff give us fans instead..But the following day aircon is working

Great location with a tiny private beach part Super friendly and helpful staff. It waa clean and the beds are comfortable. Cool rooftopbar, there is no kitchen but you can order breakfast at the bar on the other side and they will bring it to you at the beach, just great.

The doorms are a little small with all the Backpacks and warm when the power went off, you can see that it is a new spot so not everything works well but it has a lot of potetioal. I regrett that i just stayed 2 nights and not more ;)
