Mercer Motel

Great stopover just outside of Auckland. Restaurant wasn't open for dinner the night we stayed but pub only 200m away was perfect for a cold beer and some dinner. Room was surprisingly quiet when you closed the door, given the location next to the motorway. Well equipped for a short stay.

Reception was closed on arrival and had to call for check in details, but was a fairly simple process (just not as per notes on the booking.com website)

Great little place, was perfect for what I needed. Tv didn't work but staff quickly sorted it. Very quite considering it's next to the motorway. Very clean and well priced. Ill definitely stay again

The motel is convenient and has a great restaurant next door, as well as biltong and cheese shops. They provide a good number of towels and the kitchen is well equipped. Check in was at the restaurant and the staff there are friendly and welcoming.

The shower drain was very smelly, and the toilet was not clean. I had to scrub inside the bowl when I arrived, with a toilet brush that was old and dirty. I stay here frequently and the rooms are usually clean, but they always have a damp smell, and the shower drains are often smelly.
