Kasbah House

What a horrible experience! It’s been 48 hours since our check in date. Not long after taking our room, we were offended by the smell of mold and struck by the backed up shower. Above all, however, my wife’s safety and mine was compromised when our room door could not be locked from the INSIDE. Doing his best to understand, in broken English, the front desk staffer, hammer in hand and armed with WD40 did his best to rectify the situation. One hour later, where the matter seemed resolved, my wife was locked inside and no exit from our room was possible. At that moment , our of piece mind/safety made it impossible to stay. Thoughts of any emergency aside (my mind turned to a google posting that we read after booking the room), where the owner openly challenged a guest in effort to enter the room. Ultimately, the owner met with us and agreed to accept the free cancellation through booking ( to date, Kabash House remains incommunicado). We left into the Tangier night but not before returning the hammer, which I had insisted on keeping for defense sake. Your assistance in rectifying this matter is greatly appreciated. Unbelievable!!!!

10/10 – A True Home Away from Home I have never felt more received as a guest, nor more intentionally cared for, respected, and honoured, than I have during my stay here. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely safe and embraced — something I have never experienced in any other away-from-home setting. This place has truly been a home away from home, and I will most certainly be returning. A very special thank you to Dikraa, Fedwa, Ahmad, and Ridaa for their extraordinary hospitality. Their intentional care, kindness, and attention made every detail of my stay seamless. Nothing was ever too small or too big for them. Their warmth and genuine concern created an atmosphere of true comfort and belonging. The house itself is beyond expectations: the rooms are spacious, serene, and peaceful, with beds that are wonderfully comfortable. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the Kasbah and close to the Medina — yet still a haven of calm. The bathroom feels like a spa, complete with bathrobes and beautifully made Moroccan organic products. Every detail is thoughtful and high-quality. Coming back each day to a spotlessly clean room with such personal touches made me feel so well looked after. The facilities are excellent, the value is more than worth it, and the overall experience far exceeds that of many high-end hotels. This is not just accommodation — it’s an experience of genuine hospitality, care, and community. I am deeply grateful for everything and highly recommend this special place to anyone seeking not only comfort but also a sense of being truly welcomed and held.

Great location, nice decor, very good breakfast on roof top

Nothing to dislike. Maybe difficult for many seniors (which we are) climbing the hills of the Old Medina in the Kasbah Sometimes language/communication was a barrier- generally solved with Google Translate

Location was good for a couple of days not for any longer as need to venture out once done with the area. Clean, traditional and good bathroom products

The shower flooded when on too high, the room smelt of mould, which I was allergic too, it had a great rooftop space but no shade to enjoy it No English or French speaking staff

Everything ! It's is very unique and very special place! The breakfast is amazing! Very very clean, rooms are gorgeous! We are so happy. Will be back again.

Wunderbar eingerichtet. Tolle Dachterrasse. Sehr netter Hotelbesitzer! Das Hotel ist ganz oben in der Kasbah wo ein herrlicher Wind weht. Man hat Ruhe vom Trubel der Medina u ist trotzdem mittendrin.

Sehr gute Lage, an oberen Stadttor in der Kasbah. Frühstück wird sehr liebevoll vorbereitet und auf der Dachterrasse serviert.
