There was an odour in the bathroom during the first night but it quickly dissipated.

GBThe apartment was absolutely amazing. Beautiful garden and patio area, lovely well equiped kitchen , enormous bedroom area. Maria was so attentive and caring and really made us feel welcome. A beautiful stay with wonderful views of Funchal !
The hill is actually not too bad if you are active. I actually like a hill as we love an apartment with a view. You actually get used to it the longer you are there and its so worth it when you get to the top !
GBAn immaculately clean, spacious and superbly equipped property. Maria greeted us on arrival to show us round, and responded immediately to the odd question we had via WhatsApp. The terrace outside was beautiful for eating, sun-bathing, and BBQing in privacy - there was also a jacuzzi, but we didn't try it. The roof terrace provided a panoramic view of Funchal and its harbour while drinking a tipple and waiting for the sun to go down.

LTApart from the fact that the apartment itself is truly comfortable without feeling of "boring rental place without soul" is it located strategically perfect - literally EVERYTHING is very close: good grocery, market, airport shuttle stop, starting points of buses to everywhere on island, cable car stops, ocean, promenade, buzzling old center. Yes, there's a short hilly street to get to the house but I guess on Madeira you should breathe out and keep calm - you cannot find a location with totally flat surfaces anyway :) So if you are without a car as we were - you won't regret this great location.
BYНевероятно внимательная и приятная хозяйка Мария. Терраса очень уютная, с маленьким огородом, на которой есть лежаки, гриль и джакузи. А так же с террасы выход на балкон наверху. Уютные апартаменты. Кухня полноценная. Все продумано до мелочей. Есть все и даже больше :)
Тем, кому сложно много ходить и с перепадами высот, будет тяжеловато. К жилью подъем под уклоном. В самом жилье есть лестницы. Но для тех, кто любит нагрузку, будет как раз :)
