Salom Hostel

Hostel très agréable avec une bonne ambiance voyageur et des espaces extérieurs pour manger et se détendre. Les dortoirs et les sanitaires sont propres. Zafar et sa famille sont vraiment très gentils et nous ont beaucoup aidé dans l'organisation de notre séjour.

Very comfy hostel with English and Russian speaking owners who can give you a lot of advice and info about the area. I felt great here and really enjoyed lazy evenings in the yard. Recommended!

Comfortable place and helpful host, he also arranged for me a trip to the Seven Lakes and a shared taxi to Khujand

The owner was nice to let me stay even if I arrived early as the check in time was. I saw a nice book ,,the tenant" so I had a good time passing the scorching heat day. Few meters is the main road which gives enough small restaurants. Where the locals go, I went so I had a good time. Panjakent is a small getaway City so it was a good experience. Toilet and bathroom are separated and has enough place for everybody.

It's just too hot to go out

Owner Zafar is most helpful kind informative so fluent in English even lent me his hat after I told him I lost mine! He told me he's fourth generation in that land and works for French ngo! Place has lovely courtyard and lots of toilets and showers. Supermarket 200m away

Felt a bit dark on streets heading to hostel at night but families and kids on the streets

Bed was comfortable and host was friendly. The social area in the courtyard was nice and had a social atmosphere.

The only issue I had was that the AC unit is in one of the dorm beds. One guy from France decided to make the rest of the people in the room suffer with 30 degree heat because he didn’t want the AC running in his bed. I can understand his issue but the real trouble is that the hostel should not be putting people in a bed with the AC inside the bunk. I sent a message to the owner at night asking if there’s another room I could move to since I paid for AC and he didn’t respond. Other than that, it was all fine.

The host was exceptionally knowledgeable about local places to visit and enjoy; facilities are developing with good taste and plan; nice inner court yard to socialize

Maybe gender division for sleeping rooms? Rooms are tight for six persons. Personally I do not enjoy sharing a room with snoring...
