Everything was good! Good place to meet people and organize trip. Owner and is daughter can help you to find information about how to go around. The 2 speak good English. My favorite stay in Tadjikistan

Very friendly host family, daughter speaks great English. Nice garden to sit in, very quiet, away from main street. Fantastic kitchen, great showers, all very clean.

I like rye place very clean and silent.

It’s a family home converted into a hostel with a nice relaxing yard and friendly, hospitable, helpful owner who explained everything to me about the town though i was the only guest when arrived. I felt I stayed in my grandparents home. Very homey and i can imagine the hostel vibe when more travelers gather in this place.

It was a pleasant stay at Salom Hostel. I stayed total of 3 nights (2nights when i arrived in panjakent and 1 night before i went to Artuch). The owners were very helpful when it comes to giving directions going to different places. I also left my laptop before hiking Artuch which I really appreciate (they didnt ask me to pay for the locker). It would have been a little heavier if i carried it with me. They also have a kitchen where you can cook your own meals if you want to. The price is okay considering there are not many hostels in Panjakent. I like the location as well. It is walking distance to the market.

The only thing was the wifi. It wasnt super fast in the morning til evening. I work between 2AM-6AM and the wifi was better between those hours. In Tajikistan, wifi in general is slow. That is a downside if you do remote job but if you dont then it wont really affect you. You can buy local sim and the signal will be just fine.
