Well located in a quiet, charming town , yet close to larger towns.

Great location in the heart of the tiny gem of Sovana. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Air conditioner noisy and struggled to keep up with the admittedly unusually high heat. Shower small and in need of an update

Attentiveness of owners and staff with check in and recommendations of things to do. Dinner was delicious., ambiance of the small town. was delightful.

The bed was hard and difficult to find a comfortably position to sleep on.

We stayed here before, 18 years ago, and were pleased to return. The village is small and special, not much changed, though spruced-up, and a bit less car-accessible. Perhaps the smallest town to have a cathedral in Italy! A great headquarters for visits to the larger near-by tufa towns of Sorano, Pitigliano, and Saturnia. It also has its own set of Etruscan remains -- temples, vie cave, and tombs, lovely to visit in the spring -- with meadows of wildflowers and birdsong. The hotel is still looking freshly-made in its antique building. The room was light and comfortable, with traditional furnishings and modern bathroom.

The hosts seemed distracted by the needs of their across-the-street restaurant. (We had a pleasant dinner there.) But they were available when needed. They no longer furnish breakfast, and oddly neglected to recommend breakfast at their fancier sister-hotel down the street, where they were happy to provide a tasty generous buffet, with garden view, for only 7 Euro @.

Ambiance. Quiet. Authentic

The road to the hotel is very narrow and slipery. Driving a motorbike to the hotel requires skills
