House beautifully done and renovated

Noise can travel from downstairs upstairs

Charming, comfy and well-sited by the Tongariro river on a fairly quiet residential street. Easy drive to Waimarino-National Park village for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Whakapapa ski area.

Stayed in the fisherman’s cabin which was just soooo nice and cozy. Modern and clean. All the amenities you need. I can’t speak for what the other attached units are like but the detached cabin, which is the only one of a kind at the property is located at the back close to a stream. Super cool. It’s small but honestly it’s perfect for a winter stay.

Only one tiny thing, the flood light from the adjacent unit points directly at the windows of the cabin. The flood light is motion sensitive so anything, including the resident cat, can trigger the light to come on in the middle of the night. This ends up lighting up the cabin even with the blinds closed. I recommend they repoint the light directly down to the area needing lighting to avoid disturbing guests.

Beautifully styled, very clean and everything we needed

The instructions ambiguous i.e. numbering was repeated - Dulux No. 2 and also another unit No. 2. Was another man having difficulty there as well working out his. No mention that the accommodation was on the 2nd floor. Having to carry up a bike so that it would not be stolen was rather difficult. No electric blanket . Heater not put on prior to arriving. Obviously stringy on heating!!!
