KARAGÜL Hotel

Karagül is in the heart of the old city. Down an enchanting laneway. The rooms were comfortable.

There were a few language difficulties but my bad for not speaking Turkish

Staying in this historic building in the heart of the old town is an experience in itself. Very atmospheric - rich with character and charm. The family and staff are incredibly friendly, cheerful, and genuinely helpful—they even went out of their way to resolve a luggage issue with the airline. The room was beautiful and stylish, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely. The location couldn’t be better—right in the old town market, close to Abraham’s Pond and vibrant local bazaars. Simply wandering through the surrounding streets is a journey into a fascinating culture.

Very authentic ambiance. Room has AC and private bathroom. Staff was kind and helpful.

Avoid the narrow road and find parking on the main street (staff helped with parking). The ventilation in the bathrooms was poor.

The hotel is an ancient building located very close to the archaeology museum, the fish lake, and different venues for food. The fact that is an ancient building added a lot to the ambience of our trip!

The rooms are very small, the bathroom was not quite useful and didnt match the photos
