KARAGÜL Hotel

We loved the authentic surrounding, full of culture and located in a good place for all amenities. The staff there are all so kind and accommodating. The bed was so comfortable the room had great ambiance. You are served traditional breakfast and plenty of Turkish tea . They also assisted us with doing our laundry . They are so willing to help with anything , we had a bit of a dilemma with our hire car … needed some help with this so they took us to have the car sorted in like an hour .. amazing 🤩. We highly recommend staying here … you will be well looked after !!! And they speak good English especially Mahamet and Adryan . We will be going back to see them .

Nice beautiful traditional cave themed rooms

Location in the old city center. The staff lent me the mobile phone with turkish sim card for managing my flights with Pegasus airlines.

I needed the invoice for my employer. It took five days disccusions to get it. Every day they promised tomorrow. At the end they sent me the invoice by mail.

This was a lovely spot, perfect for our unconventional trip. We chose this type of hotel to truly experience the culture and spirit of the people in this part of Turkey, and we were pleased with our choice. The hotel is small, with several floors, and each room has its own breakfast table. A traditional Turkish breakfast is included, which is very convenient, as there isn’t much available in the morning outside the hotel. Yes, even if the map says places open at 9 or 10 a.m. — believe me, that’s not always the case! Food in Urfa tends to be spicy and uses the same set of spices, so we requested a simple breakfast at the hotel: an omelet without spices, fresh vegetables, and bread. The hotel staff are always around and ready to help at almost any time, even late in the evening. They’re happy to bring you tea or coffee, offer a hookah, recommend restaurants for dinner, help you book local events, and arrange transfers or taxis. The staff was even kind enough to receive a package for me while I was out of town. Overall, I was pleased with this experience: the attentive service, welcoming atmosphere, and caring staff made our stay in Urfa comfortable and memorable.

One last thing worth noting for those, like me, who dislike the cold: the hotel provides standard waffle sheets instead of thick blankets, so I requested three extra sheets to keep warm at night. This, by the way, is typical for many hotels in Urfa and nearby towns in the region.

Rooms Service

We were a little scared about comments before, but everything was good. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Good breakfast. I recommend the hotel also because its location is so convenient, almost all the most important historic places are walkable around 15 min each one from the hotel.

No mirror yet, but they were still improving so probably they were working on that.

The third bed made the room cramped.

It was ok good location.

Room was stuffy so couldn’t sleep, no fridge to keep water cool, bed was uncomfortable,staff uncommunicative.

Aiden the manager was very welcoming and helpful. They had a better room available during our stay so upgraded us without asking which was very nice. The location is convenient to the centre of Sanliurfa, close the the metro bus 63 (63 will take you on a loop of the city centre to most tourist locations) . The city itself is an old city so don't be expecting 5 star accommodation, but for the price, very very good value. The room had good aircon, massive bathroom, comfy bed, the only thing it lacked was a fridge. Turkish breakfast included which was a nice start to the day. It's a out 15 minutes walk to the museum, which is where you get the bus to go to Gobekli Tepe (Bus 0) I would recommend. Unfortunately the talking parrot that I read about seems to have passed away. If the staff are reading this, thank you for the stay.
