The Whitianga Sandcastle

Accommodation was clean and neat, it was close to the shops. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. Bathroom was spacious and clean with towels available. Beds were set up beautifully as well.

Initially, the owner was not accommodating when I requested to arrive one hour earlier, although after several back-and-forth messages this was eventually allowed. Unfortunately, there was no hot water the next day during our stay, which was disappointing. After checking out and locking up, I accidentally left my prescription glasses inside the house and was unable to get back in. The owner was unable to assist at the time, so I had to leave without them and drive without my glasses. While the glasses were eventually posted back to me and I received them four days later, the situation caused significant inconvenience.

The guest toilet isn’t working and beds are too soft to sleep.

This property has a great feel as soon as you walk in the door, it is comfortable, cosy, clean and well-equipped, and well worth the cost. We were travelling from Australia as a group of 5 and we all had a great stay. I highly recommend this property A++.

Plenty of room for the whanau. Home was clean and tidy and had great outdoor bbq area. Perfect locations close to all amenities.

It was in a very quiet residential area & well located for the town amenities.

There was no information pack about the house or the local area.
