The only thing I would have improved were the pillows on the bed. A bit hard but other than that it was fantastic.

ZAZAWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Grootwaterval Guest farm, and it was truly a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. The charm of the landscape—vast, open skies stretching endlessly over the rugged terrain—was simply breathtaking. The tranquility of the area, far from the hustle and bustle of city life, allowed us to unwind and connect with nature in a way that's hard to find elsewhere. The accommodation was exceptional—cozy, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped. It blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings, offering modern comforts while maintaining an authentic Karoo feel. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel right at home, offering local tips and personal touches that added to the warmth of the stay. What really stood out was the silence. The stillness of the Karoo is so profound that it feels almost meditative, perfect for those looking to escape and reset. Whether we were enjoying a morning coffee while watching the sunrise, taking a leisurely stroll through the open plains, or stargazing at night, every moment felt like a step closer to peace. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat, away from the noise of everyday life, this is a hidden gem. The Karoo offers not just natural beauty but a sense of serenity that is hard to replicate elsewhere. I'll definitely be returning for another dose of its calm, quiet magic. It must be noted that the road to the farm is a gravel road but in all honesty in better condition than most of our public roads. We drove with a Suzuki swift and managed to reach our destination with ease.
ZAGreat spot off the beaten track. Superb stargazing. Quiet and peaceful with wonderful hosts, and lovely touches from the moment you arrive. Treated to a special guest appearance from a tortoise who joined us for our morning coffee. Recommended.

ZAThe location and setting was perfect, Very quiet and peaceful. The hosts went out of their way to make it a memorable evening. Would stay longer next time as its a bit far from the N1 for just one evening.
