Yuzawa house

This accommodation is advertised as having a shared bathroom. One would expect that this one include a private shower room where you can have a shower with a closed door privately but would need to share the facilities with other people. However at Yuzawa house they have a public bathing room/house, when you enter the room you will see either naked men or females depend on which side you enter. Having small kids it’s not appropriate for them to share a shower room with other naked men or women. If we had known this was the case at this accommodation we would never have booked. 👎

I truly thank our hosts - Melisa and Joyce for facilitating our stay in Yuzawa house. They are extremly helpful. From check-in, snowboard bags delivery handling, breakfast and traffic information, they helped us to promptly get to ski resort without worrying unfamilirity in Yuzawa. The room is clean and small onzen is also helpful to recover tired legs after a whole day on the mountain. Also, freeflow of coffee machine powers up our days during the stay. Will be back again soon.

Room is rather small. But under this price, still high value for money.

Booked the accom to attend Fuji rock 25. The room was nice and spacious. It had a clean common toilet that can accommodate 4 guys at a time and a female toilet that can accommodate 2 ladies at a time. Both toilets came with a relaxing onsen bathe. The accoms was just a 5min walk from there were also many sinks that allowed for easy wash up in the morning. There was also a free washing machine with detergent provided and a dryer that costs 200Y per 30min. Also had a nice common area to relax in. The tatami was also very comfortable to sleep in.

The mini fridges were not cold enough.

A short walking distance from the station making it very convenient if you are travelling with a suitcase. The beds were very comfy for futons. Room was tidy and very spacious for 2 people. Our room had a mini fridge which was useful. The free breakfast was a nice touch and the pot plants everywhere were cute. Female bathrooms were very clean. Self check in and check out was easy. Would highly recommend for an overnight stay!

The walls are very thin so we could hear people talking next door or outside in the corridor. But everyone on our floor respected the quiet time after 9pm. The onsen is very small, too small for 2 people to share if you're not used to onsens. I had to wait for quite some time in the evening before it became available.

The shower room was way too small for the entire property. Given that it was a shared bathroom, there were only two shower stalls in the bathroom.
