Proto Hostel

Proto hostel is the first and for now the only hostel in chamba town and what an amazing job rudraksh had done in providing this kind of option for travelers and backpackers. the hostel is quite new so it looks beautiful and is well-maintained. the 6-beds dorm was cozy and had a nice view of the ravi river and the surrounding mountains. the beds are comfortable, there are lockers and even an air-conditioner. there's also a really pretty rooftop restaurant and another workspace for digital nomads and others who want to work remotely while enjoying nature. rudraksh the owner is a very special guy, kind and wise, and i had really interesting conversations with him about chamba, life and everything in between, plus he can help you with all the information you need regarding traveling in chamba valley. although the hostel is not located at the heart of the city but on its outskirts, you can easily catch a bus, take a taxi or just walk to the center so it's not a big issue. overall an amazing experience, and for me even a surprising one considering the fact you generally don't find these kind of high-end hostels in remote places like chamba

Amazing host and hostel all together. Proto Hostel genuinely care about you, and want you to have the best experience. They helped to organise my motorcycle trip, as Sache pass was closed. They were well informed and had lots of knowledge about motorcycle trip in India. Great hostel, clean, well maintained, good food. This is the place to stay if you are a biker of traveller going to Chamba.

It was a great stay. The host is amazing, really helpful. He even helped us with booking taxi and dropping us off at the taxi stand. He knows the city well and gives great travel advices. He creates a very comfortable and homely environment at the stay. Wifi and the food was also great. Really happy with the overall experience.

This property is at best location and in the heart of the city. River Ravi view from the room can make your day awesome.

Overall experience is nice. Nothing to not like about this amazing property.
