Eco Torarica

The breakfast options were extensive - great options every day, fresh fruit and great coffee. The eating/seating location was inviting - surrounded by great planting - with birds appearing intermittently. The room was great and had a balcony and again great vista - given the lovely planting outside. Location was sufficiently central - we were able to walk comfortably to Fort Zeelandia - and to check out the facilities of the other hotels in the chain.

I had requested a transfer from Gummels Airport - and the hotel quoted $27 per person. I think this should be cheaper. In the end we had to share a taxi from the airport - with a 'cowboy' taxi driver who charged $20 per person for 3 people. I felt cheated as a matter of principle as his car was in a shoddy state and he was blatantly profiteering. For our return journey, I managed to find a decent local driver, with a car in good condition, who took us back to the airport for a reasonable fee.

Het Hotel staat in een mooie tropische tuin en aan de Suriname rivier ! Fijne locatie! ‘ Morgens veel Vogelgeluiden en ‘Avonds geluiden van de Kikkers! Verders gezellig Restaurant aan de voorkant in een Koloniaal gebouw! Ook Bar/ Restaurant bij het water. Verders prettig dat we gebruik konden maken van de andere twee Torarica Hotels!

Maar één ding !!! Het brood/ broodjes niet goed!

Wat herry 2 nachten op kamer boven ons kamer. Geschuif met bedden of stoelen. Belangrijk: koffie viel iets tegen.

Breakfast is very limited not much to eat from the carpet is very dusty and made me sick all time the air-conditioned was dripping water and condensing the room the best thing there was the hotel across the road the guy who was accommodating us had a attitude because they charge for the night and we reach 2 hours before sunrise they charge you for the entire day before and there excuses is to hold the room still and this is how the flight is scheduled and they know that but they still charge you anyway its a complete rip off and nothing there is worth the price and house keeping comes banging on your day when you trying to sleep
