Hostal Carol

I was super impressed by the house and how clean and beautiful it was. I only stayed before a flight out so I didn't interact much on the premise. But generally it was the best place I stayed at while in Honduras.

The location was in a gated area and a bit confusing to enter. But Carole was very responsive and helped enter.

Never made it to facility cab could not even find location no address no listing she sent photo still couldn’t locate it in a cab I waisted cab fare trying to get to her

Bed was ok and there was AC.

I am pretty sure we stayed ina. Totally different house than the one advertised. The room we were initially given was not clean, animal droppings on pillows and hair all over the bed. The place is very far from everything. Wifi also did not work the whole time we were there.

It's a big house ... super kitchen...the host super nice ...location also very good ...near a big supermarket ...you can cook and keep your food in the fridge ...you also have the possibility of washing clothes ...

It's a house in a guarded community. People are friendly. Luckily there are very few mosquitoes inside the room because of the AC.

I need to walk in and out to the commercial areas to look for food which is like 15 minutes walk to the nearest fast food restaurant. Even though it's a guarded community, the people who live there let their big dangerous dogs out of the house roaming about. There are a lot of workers around with their bicycle and unknown individuals sleeping right off the front grass of the area. The house cannot be locked at all lacking security, the kitchen is full of mosquitoes because the door is not locked as they come in freely. Worse is that I can't even lock my room door which makes me very edgy to leave my valuables there. It's not very safe since Honduras is a Malaria prone, high crime rate country and you can visually see hundreds of mosquitoes when you go to the kitchen area. I was smacking mosquitoes all evening and I tried to put something to block the door but it's not enough.

Carol is very nice and helpful, but needs to learn how to run a business a bit better.

We booked 2 rooms for 4 of us because of close proximity to the airport. Carol is very nice and helpful, but needs to learn how to run a business a bit better. 1. Hostal Carol is not on Google maps and she gave a different location each time I contacted her on Whatsapp. Not confidence inspiring in dangerous Honduras. 2. The taxi driver had to try several times to enter the neighborhood which has security gates on all roads into it, taxis can only enter/exit through one of them. She should have warned us about this! 3. No breakfast or bottled water available. She told us bottled water is available, but brought a glass of water when asked - not what foreign travelers expect. 4. She advertises "wheelchair accessible" on this site, but there is a big step to enter and the bed was too high to be accessible. Carol is nice but we won't stay here again.

No reception, unclear location, building and rooms could not be locked and you did not receive a key. It also seemed that other people were just living in the building.
