IEI booked 2 rooms (105 & 505). I liked the location which was quiet, near a park with views of the city and harbour and was close to the Metro, the staff (online) were attentive, the rooms were clean with comfortable beds and the breakfast (outsourced to 2 nearby eat-in coffee houses, 1 vegan 'Mahola' and 1 sandwich/ pastry bar 'Baggio') was good and both had great coffee.
Room105 was very small with only some hooks for hanging clothes, it had no wardrobe and a small bed (which my daughter said was comfortable), it was advertised as windowless but this didn't really inform us of how claustrophobic it would be. It would not be suitable for a large person and could only be used to sleep in, one wouldn't loiter about in it reading, etc. even though it did have a TV. Room 505 was a compact double with a window and while it was small it was quite pleasant and it had a fridge, a wardrobe, TV and a kettle. I didn't like the ensuite which was very small - the set up was that of a wet room with shower doors that folded out when taking a shower, it would be impossible for someone to use the toilet if their partner was in the shower. After using the shower the tiled floors were very wet and 'slippy' even after wiping the floor with a floor towel, this made it awkward and potentially dangerous for the second person taking a shower, or using the toilet or sink. The room would not be suitable for larger persons. The overall impression of the rooms were that they were overpriced and promised more than they delivered.
