The primary guest checking in to the hotel must be at least 18 years of age. For Indian nationals a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18 staying at the hotel. The identification proofs accepted are Drivers License, Voters Card, Passport, Ration Card. Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in. Please note PAN card is not valid as an ID. For foreign nationals passport along with the valid visa is must at the time check in. People from holding Delhi NCR ids will not be permitted to check in. Early check in and late checkout are subject to availability on chargeable basis. Please note that guests are requested to be wary while booking cabs at airport and railway station as non-hotel personnel may trick them. The hotel provides a free pick-up service from the Indira Gandhi International Airport or the New Delhi Railway Station. However, the guest will have to pay a nominal airport parking fee as charged at the airport itself. You are kindly reminded to inform the hotel on your arrival details if you want to make use of this service. "Pure Fraud! My advice avoid Hotel Ajanta at all costs, especially if you are a solo female traveler."

Hotel Ajanta advertised one thing, charged premium money for it, and then delivered a completely inferior, cheaper alternative. This is deceptive, unacceptable, and constitutes pure fraud. Booking.com seriously needs to investigate this property and take strict action against these predatory practices. My advice: Avoid Hotel Ajanta at all costs, especially if you are a solo female traveler.

I am a solo female traveler from Bangladesh who recently visited Delhi for a VFS Global appointment. I booked a "Deluxe Double or Twin Room" at Hotel Ajanta - Colonial Charm Award Winning Luxury Hotel in the Heart of the City for a two-night stay through Booking.com (Booking Number: 6204201296). Hotel Ajanta had even confirmed my reservation via SMS, providing the reservation number AJ94227. However, when I arrived on the scheduled date, the hotel staff informed me that my reservation was not confirmed due to "technical difficulties." This made absolutely no sense. If my reservation was truly unconfirmed, how could they have sent me a confirmation message and a specific reservation number? Even after I presented all my payment and reservation proofs, they refused to give me the room I had booked. Instead, they escorted me to a nearby hotel called "The Yuvraj By LIVIQ," claiming it belonged to the same owner, and created a situation to stay there rather than resolving the issue at Hotel Ajanta. I strongly believe this is a scam. Because I had already paid the full hotel bill in advance through Booking.com, my options were incredibly limited. As a solo female traveler in a foreign country, I was already nervous, vulnerable, and deeply uncomfortable with the situation. My flight had landed at Delhi Airport at 18:48, and by the time I reached the hotel, it was around 21:00–21:30. With a crucial visa interview the next morning, I was completely exhausted and stressed. Having no practical alternative, I felt forced to stay at Hotel Yuvraj. Later, I checked Booking.com and discovered that the price for the exact same room type at Hotel Yuvraj for those two nights was around 6,946 BDT (plus 347.30 BDT in taxes and charges). Meanwhile, I had paid 10,195 BDT (Rs. 7,510.41) for Hotel Ajanta. This means I was effectively defrauded of around 3,249 BDT for a lower-quality hotel and a much cheaper room.
