Hotel Awaken

Our stay at the Hotel Awaken was fantastic. We got some welcome drinks on our arrival and had a nice homemade curry for dinner in the evening. Asanka and his family have been really welcoming and helpful in every regard. We even got a free Tuktuk ride to the cave temple in Dambulla and Asanka drove us to the bus station the next morning and helped us hopping on the AC bus to Kandy. The room is very modern, sparkling clean and comfy. We would definitely recommend this place. Thank you Asanka!

This is a nice place to stay. The overall experience was quite pleasant and met my expectations in several key areas. The room was very clean, which is always a top priority for any traveler. Cleanliness contributes significantly to comfort and relaxation during a stay. Additionally, the location of the accommodation was ideal. It was very calm and quiet, providing a peaceful environment that is perfect for unwinding after a long day. Being close to Dhambull town also made it convenient for exploring local attractions and amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the friendliness of the owners. Their welcoming attitude made a significant difference, enhancing the overall experience. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep every night. The hospitality was incredibly kind, and I was especially impressed by the fact that this is a small, family-run establishment. There’s a special warmth and charm in the way they manage everything—it feels like staying with family. The room was immaculately clean and very comfortable, and the accommodation was reasonably priced, offering great value for money. The food was both tasty and affordable, which added to the overall experience. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to add a small TV in the rooms, which might enhance the comfort for some guests. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, family-oriented, and budget-friendly place to stay. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

The location is also convenient, with the home being just about 200 meters from the main road, a distance that is easily walkable. But may be bit difficult on night time walk

Everything was more than great. The hospitality of family is awesome. Asanka probably safe my life, because I was bitten by a monkey and he toke me to the hospital and take care of everything... He's got a three wheeler also and can arrange for you almost everything. Rooms are new and really clean, and breakfast and dinner are one of the best in Sri Lanka. It is very recommended...

This Hotel started two month ago, so everything was very new and very clean. I think it was the most clean hotel I had before in Sri Lanka. The family is so lovely. They are very friendly and help you with everything you need. I felt so comfortable and welcomed :). Also they made me the best breakfast and dinner. On my last day they did a small cooking class for me because I was so interested in making Curry. That was great and I felt so grateful. They also have a tuk tuk and bring you to every place you wanna go. I’m so glad that I found this Hotel and & would definitely recommend it!

The family running the small homestay is absolutely hartwarming! Rarely have I felt so incredibly welcome in a place. They have their own tuktuk, so transport to all the sights is never a problem. Their food is fantastic, so you'd better have dinner there too!

Absolutely nothing!

Everything was incredible, the best place in all Sri Lanka. The family is really kind, and really helpful. They offered us the free transfer from and to the bus station. Room super clean and super new. Bed really comfy. Breakfast and lunch really delicious for really cheap price. Such a dream.

The place is newly ,nice and beautiful 😍The room was very clean and comfortable! The staff was hospitality , kind, friendly and very familiar 🤩🤩 our breakfast very delicious. 😋
