The room was decorated with black, so quite dark. It was clean. The bathroom was good, although there was a towel hanging on a hook and I wasn’t sure if it was used. The smaller towels were rolled up as expected. The bed comfortable. It had its own sitting area which would be good in warmer weather. The location was good as it was close to the square. There was access to a rooftop sitting area. It was in need of a sweep and clean but had a good outlook.

There was no one to meet me. When travelling it is difficult to predict how long it takes to arrive somewhere unknown. I waited for some time. When the man finally arrived, he was clearly in a such a hurry that I had trouble keeping up with him as I was carrying my bags which were heavy. After going through a large door, there was a courtyard, steps and gates. Once I asked for help he helped. He was abrupt, dismissive and gave no information about where the accomodation was in relation to the square etc. He told me about where to go to for breakfast, but I could not find it the next morning from his directions. Despite care being taken with the presentation of the room, I did not feel welcome and was given no help. It was strange passing the back of the restaurant, through a courtyard to the room. I dislike using accomodation, where there is no reception, you need to contact 30 mins before arriving, when you have no idea how long it will take and they don’t turn up. There is no support, and as a solo traveller, it is stressful waiting around on the street when the expectation was that someone would be there.

The room (it is not a hotel, but you rent a room, we had to pay at the restaurant behind the building) is extraordinary. Located next to the Palazzo Biscari in a very old building. Its shaded and quiet even though we were right in the center of Catania.

Beautiful accommodation, right in the centre of town, just a few minutes walk to the cathedral. Despite this, it was very quiet and the whole ambience was relaxing. There is a beautiful view of the cathedral from rooftop garden. The host was also very helpful.

Great aesthetics, interesting location. Close walk to the centre, but not too close for evening noise. Has a great roof terrace too. Has coffee machine and mini fridge in the room. Very comfortable and large bed.

A ‘taxi’ to the airport was arranged for us, but was a friend driving us. Not the best car and slightly erratic driver.

Spacious and well furnished. We had a small patio and access to a beautiful rooftop sitting/viewing area for wine sipping.

Location is amazing and the room is very comfortable and well decorated! The private terrasse is nice to enjoy coffee in the morning!

The room overall was very humid and we had to leave the windows open at all times. Breakfast is not located on the premises but at a nearby coffee place that was closed when we checked out so we could enjoy it.

Such a beautiful place, very central, close to attractions, close to bus that take you to the airport. Clean and very convenient. There is also coffee machine, we also got bottles of water and small bottle of Prosecco, we also got all cosmetics in the toilet, felt like great hotel experience. Would definitely recommend. Loved it. We also got vouchers for breakfast which was great, you could choose sweet pastry 🥐 and coffee of choice, we loved the experience definitely would recommend and would come back if visiting Sicily in the future 💯
