SandHill Hotel Samarkand

• The hotel is very clean , the interior decoration is so much attention to detail and all the items/products used in the rooms/hotel are of high quality. • The Location is 5 mins walk from the Registan Square, which is the main tourist attraction site in Samarkand. • The hotel staff are very polite • They allowed me an early check-in. • The hotel was very quiet, peaceful and the bed was very comfortable and clean.

The hotel is located just a 5-minute walk from Registan Square. According to the staff, the hotel was built and opened in 2023. The building is designed in a style traditional for the old city center, featuring an inner atrium. The room was small but cozy (the bathroom door couldn't open fully because it hit the bed, but it wasn’t a major issue). There was a mini safe, good air conditioning, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, bottled water, tea, and sugar. The bed was wide and comfortable. The room also featured a smart TV. The bathroom was comfortable and well-equipped, with slippers, a bathrobe, towels, toiletries, and cosmetics. The staff was friendly and attentive. The corridors and the restaurant, which is located in the basement, had tasteful interior design. Drinks are available 24/7 for an additional charge. Interestingly, the booking confirmation email stated under the “Payment” section that credit cards were not accepted and that payment had to be made in cash. However, I had no issues paying with my Visa card for both the accommodation and additional services. Breakfast was included in my reservation and offered a well-balanced selection. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting to enjoy the historic beauty of Samarkand.

Location is perfect, a few minutes walk to city's main square. (Registan) Hotel is brand new, therefore everything functions well. Wi-fi, a/c okey. There is smart tv in the room. Breakfast is nice with enough variety.

This hotel is well located, actually a very short distance from the main historical sites of Samarkand. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Fayazjon in the main reception.

If the hotel had a swimming pool and gym I would of probably given a higher rating.

Everything about Sandhill was great! The location was perfect (5 mins by walk to Registon Square), 30 secs to a pleasant park, and 2mins to the nearest restaurants and shops. It was also very easy to find Sandhill because of the signage on the hotel. Sandhill has a beautifully decorated interior, with local designs and murals. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with amenities. The dinning room was large and well designed, with a lot of space for extra guests. Breakfast was pleasant, with plenty of choice of hot food, cold food, and drinks. There was a good automatic coffee machine, too. Staff were helpful and polite. We had a problem with one of our groups rooms, as the lock was not working. Staff quickly came to provide a different room for us, while they repaired the lock. Overall, I and my group were very happy with the experience and value for money and would definitely choose to stay at Sandhill again. Thank you Sandhill team!
