The location was at the centre of the city. Yervzhan is a nice owner and he helped me a lot in planning activities and sorting out taxi issues. His extended help is much appreciated and needed in a country like Kazakhstan, where organized public transport is bare minimum.

The toilet was an asian version, which was a bit difficult. There were no holders for soaps in the shower.

The receptionists were nice and available. I was alone in my room, which made it both comfortable and lonely, but the bed was very comfy and there's a big window to the front patio. The room was clean and I was given a big locker with a big padlock for my stuff. The living room is very cozy - enormous, comfortable sofa and very big table. The decorations are very nice and the colors of the house are very pleasant. The laundry and drying was only 1500 tenge. They allowed me to leave my stuff in the locker during the day of check-out and to stay at the hostel until I left to the airport. The kitchen is well-equipped and you can find everything you need. Good place for a good price.

The receptionists didn't speak English at all. The hostel was empty, I was literally the only one there, which made it not fun. The bathroom upstairs smelled horribly. The bathroom downstairs had a laundry and drying machine inside, which they were using all the time, so using the bathroom would be uncomfortable and you feel like you're not letting them do the laundry. The location was not that central at the end of the day. No breakfast whatsoever. When I paid for the laundry they intentionally gave me wrong change (I gave them 10000 tenge). When I told them change was missing, they got upset, but gave me the money. I asked for the laundry and drying service, which I got, but after the laundry was done they sundried my clothes. They dried them after me explicitly asking for what they promised they would give. The hostel is hard to find as there's no sign outside and you need to ring a bell to get in. However, they're not there all the time. Plus, there's no actual reception - the payment happens in the living room.

Aside from the comfortable sleep, warm room, and hot shower, the owner and the lady caretaker took extra effort in making my stay comfortable. They genuinely care about their guests and the owner ensure that I took the correct transport for my next destination. Thank you very much!
