Coffee Shade

Our stay at Coffee Shade was exceptional! The toom was very nice and clean. The stay itslef is not on a busy toad so it is very quiet and peaceful. We would wake up to monkeys in the trees and go to bed to bed watching the fireflys. The host family is what makes this place special. They are extremely kind and care for their guest. We were given fresh fruit every morning and even a gift before we left. They were always there to answer any questions and always had a big smile. Definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent friendly people. Lovely accommodation

The staff are very nice and respond quickly to any questions or requests. They have a quiet AC and a hot shower. They also give you cups and plates and silverware, and the wifi works well.

There aren't mosquito nets.

The best accommodation of our entire trip. It is in a beautiful location with and nice garden and wild coffee plants growing everywhere. 5 minutes walk to the beach/shore and main street that connects all shore cities. The lovely host who gave us small gifts, fruits and drinks everyday. Really special!

Like we said, this is a special place! Constructive feedback: - Please switch to a single mattress instead of two smaller ones! The slot between those two smaller was a bit uncomfortable.

We had a great time. Really kind and helpfull host. The room was great, confortable and clean. Nesr to the beach, really peacefull environment. Definitivelty worth the price. They also had a good laundry service. Would return and recommend.

Not really a killing argument, but an outside chill area would be great.

The location in Midigama is perfect, short walk to the beach, train station, bus stop and main road but far enough away to avoid the noise. All conversations are via whats app and any questions or requests were answered straight away. The owners are so sweet and really try to make your stay special, a welcoming drink, dropping by with fresh fruit and helping us find a driver to our next accommodation, very much appreciated. If you need a place to stay in Midigama, Coffee Shade is a great choice!

A small fridge to store medicines and cold drinks would be handy.

The owner family was super nice! Jayalath assisted us via whatsup, everything (Check-in, extend stay and organize breakfast etc) was organized smoothly. His wife welcomed us with lovely smile and humble attitude. She also brought us fresh fruits sometimes. Their dad wiped to dry our bike after rain. They are so thoughtful, they made our stay comfortable as much as possible. The place itself was in good location. Only 2mins walk to surf (lazy left), and in quiet street. Short drive to Ahangama or Weligama.

Lovely place, friendly hosts, amazing food.

We were welcomed so warmly by the hosts - they gave us thoughtful little gifts and were extremely flexible with us as our plans changed! Our room was quiet and had great air con, and the location was completely perfect - short stroll to the surf breaks but nestled away from the main road. Fantastic value, highly recommend.
