Coffee Shade

Shower and aircon worked perfectly, no mosquito net but also no mosquitos… everything was clean and comfy, owners often bring fresh fruit in the morning free of charge. Did laundry here which was cheapest I’d seen in Sri Lanka. Room also had plates, cutlery etc if needed, drying rack etc.

Very nice located, quiet and clean room! You have Ac and fan, seperate entrance to your room :) Whats more all the stuff are really friendly, helpful and caring. I really reccomend this place, you will have nice stay there :)

The best property I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka! Friendly welcoming hosts and a great modern place to stay. Close to the beach but in a peaceful location. Good facilities such as A/C, hot shower, kettle, tea, and cutlery provided. So good I extended as soon as I arrived and saw the room!

Coffee Shade was everything we needed to feel at ease after a long day of travelling - comfortable, clean and very kind hosts. They think of everything, for example had 5l bottled drinking water available and send a pdf with such additional services at the end. Good communication and the location is ideal.

Loved our stay with Coffee Shade the apartment is cozy, clean and stylish. Location is perfect as its super quiet but only 3 minute walk to beach/surfspots. But the best part are the amazing hosts that are a lovely young couple that are extremely helpful with everything you ask and always have a smile to give. 10 out of 10 stay.

Everything in this property is very good. Spacious and very clean with very big bathroom. The location is just a the centre of Midigama but on the same time is very quite. The owners are lovely people and mafey stay even better. Can't recommend this place enough, would definitely come back.

Everything! They have built a beautiful little guesthouse with 3 rooms and ensuite bathrooms. Very close to the beach, Coffee Shade is the perfect place to stay in Midigama if you're not on a very tight budget. That said the prices are more than fair for what you get. Everything is well maintained. What I really enjoyed: FOOD: The vegetable curries were the best I had during this trip to Sri Lanka! I love spicy food and definitely enjoyed the burn. If you're not eating spicy at all, it could be worth noting this with your meal orders. ORGANIZATION: The owners provide a PDF menu for breakfast and dinner and also create an invoice with total cost provided as PDF. Couldn't ask for more professionalism from a guesthouse. THE GARDEN: Very lush and beautifully maintained, I felt like I was staying in a botanical garden. Jaya was even so kind to gift me two plant seedlings that I will hopefully be able to grow back at home. 💚

I enjoyed my stay at Coffee Shade. The room was very clean, good space, big bed, nice bathroom and shower. Also there is a table and desk for working. When I arrived I got a coconut, coffee and a pen - which I think was really nice after traveling for a long day. I also got free papaya to my room one day which was so sweet. The owner is very good with communication and they do the best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I was a bit worried if it was going to be a quiet place - but it exceeded my excpetations. Also the owner helped me to find scooter with surf rack and they also offer laundry. There is also a small room outside where you can store your surfboards. Also, I like how it is so green when I get out of my room. It also feels safe as they have a closed gate. It is a hidden gem. Thank you :)
